We were visiting the Gold Coast from Melbourne and were on the hunt for good Banh Mi. After seeing lots of recommendations on the Banh Mi Facebook page, we decided to try Miami Hot Bread. While the staff were really nice and welcoming, we were a little disappointed with the Banh Mi itself. The flavours didn’t quite hit the mark for us, we couldn’t really taste the authentic mayo or liver, and the portion felt smaller than we expected. The photos online made it look much bigger, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the authentic Banh Mi experiences we’re used to in Melbourne (places like Luke’s, which we adore). We visited many Banh Mi places during our 9 day stay, and while none quite matched Melbourne’s style, we really appreciated the friendly service at Miami Hot Bread.

Miami Hot Bread is a fantastic spot for anyone craving a mix of Vietnamese flavors and classic snacks. This local bakery offers a great selection, from banh mi and cold rolls to pho and even some familiar treats like lemon tarts, Florentines, and lamingtons. It’s in walking distance for most Miami residents, which makes it an easy go-to! The service here is fast and friendly, and the banh mi is always fresh, with that crispy pork crackling that’s definitely crispy. My only minor complaint - Where’s the chili? I always ask for extra but still find myself hunting for that spicy kick. Would love a bit more heat if I’m asking for chili! Overall, Miami Hot Bread is a good place to stop by for tasty and hearty bites.

On an adventure to find highly recommended banh mi and pho on the Gold Coast, and heard about this place and thought I’d give a try. The beef pho was quite good, the meat was generous, and lots of herbaceous garnish. Would’ve tasted better with extra Thai basil, bean sprouts and lemon. The crispy pork belly banh mi was fresh and crunchy, but needed more seasoning. The carrot wasn’t properly pickled as it was bland. I tried to savour for coriander, spring onion, cucumber, pickled vegetables taste but couldn’t taste any. A bit too dear for the quality/price paid. Overall was alright, unfortunately I haven’t been able to find a place that can beat my usual banh mi place in Hurstville, Sydney.

I never leave bad reviews but this place - I have absolutely NO idea how people are saying ‘best Bahn Mi’ on the coast. Firstly we walked in - no greeting at all - the man infront of us also was just waiting to pay? Two ladies making rolls. We stood there for probably 5 minutes before anyone actually said anything. It seemed like a hassle to take our order.

This is not a Bahn Mi - roll much closer to a bakery hot dog bun not a baguette style - might be a tasty ‘roll’ but didn’t taste Vietnamese at all. I ordered what seems to be their speciality ‘caramelised pork’ - dry (even though it was in a liquid) and unfortunately flavourless? My partner ordered a pie and the crispy pork roll - he said the pork wasn’t bad but absolutely nothing special. He also said he wouldn’t call it a Bahn Mi. Pickled veg also tasteless just didn’t notice anything flavourful about the roll.

The pie though - he said it was the worst pie he’s ever had. His words “I don’t know how a pie base could possibly be so flexible”

It looked like raw puffed pastry to be honest and as flexible as a tortilla

We drove here due to people recommending this place but what a waste of time - huge disappointment

Also iceberg lettuce on a Bahn mi should be a...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Miami Hot Bread and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and friendly faces, making me feel welcome and appreciated as a customer.

Now, let's talk about the food. The bahni at Miami Hot Bread is undoubtedly the best I have ever had on the Gold Coast. The flavors were expertly blended, and the portions were more than generous, making it great value for money.

This eatery is a hidden gem in Miami, offering a relaxed and cozy atmosphere that provides the perfect ambiance for enjoying a delicious meal. Moreover, the price point is also a big plus, making it accessible for everyone.

Overall, I highly recommend Miami Hot Bread to anyone looking for amazing food at a great price. Their staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic. It's no surprise that this establishment has such a loyal customer base. I, for one, cannot wait to return for my next culinary...
