Pearls Bar — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I normally come to Sheraton Mirage and stay at least 6 times a year for many many years. My partner and I decided to go for a drink before having dinner at the Terrace at 7:30.

When we arrived at Pearls Bar and the manager on duty was extremely rude and not helpful. My partner and I didn’t have our phones to check-in thinking they will have a paper based system also to allow other people to check-in. But no.

We ask the manager what can we do, to have a few drinks here before our dinner. He said it’s not his problem and he won’t leave the bar or provide us a phone to check-in. And left us standing there with no resolution.

This experience has made me think...why would I want to come back here if you deal with staff that are rude and not helpful.

I wouldn’t...

We had high tea for mum’s birthday.

High tea itself was quite nice. Customer service was awesome. We were well attended and looked after.

Something to work on, would be quality of cups. Thick and difficult to handle. Felt like something purchased from crazy Clark's.

Also, there was faint smell of musty mold. The fact there were visible black mold on the concrete outside the glass really didn’t help either.

Amazing view out into the pool and ocean but the white pebbles and the concrete outside really needed a big clean up.

Maybe due for a facelift? We’d love to come back then!

Edit: we were there on 22 April 24. Seemingly after the refurbishment. Perhaps deep cleaning of exterior will need to...

I love something fancy and yummy food. This time we had beautiful high tea at Sheraton Gold Coast . First of all we had special lemon cello drink. Normally they serve with alcohol but I don’t like spirits so I asked them without alcohol. It was nice flavor and fresh drinks. And we got beautiful high tea. Wonderful food and so beautiful. I highly recommend to my friend as well. All sweets and savory foods are amazing. My favorite is glazed Italian lemon and egg & truffle mayonnaise, watercress.and scones🩷🩷 I love tea as well but I couldn’t drink a lot of tea. It was too full.

All staffs are so friendly and kind!! I would love to try another high tea different...
