Level 14 where do I start. Walked into our room and it's like walking back 50 years into the 70's. Completely outdated room and furniture. Couches are made from cane and are extremely un comfortable to sit on. There are no fabric couches in this apartment. Mattresses in bed rooms are like sleeping on a concrete slab. All you can feel is the rock hard springs. Hate to think how old these are!! Holes in walls have been patched and just left bare without any paint. Considering this apartment on level 14 is the same price as one on level 6 which is completely modernised with full brand new furnishings. 9:30am check out. Very disappointed with this apartment! These apartments are privately owned but there needs to be a minimum standard that is met with all apartments.

Everything about our stay at the Capricornia Apartments was fantastic. Check in was easy and friendly, we were given a apartment high up with the most wonderful view you could ask for.As an added bonus it was whale migration time and we saw many whales going past. The apartment itself was extremely spacious and clean and had everything you could possibly need for your stay, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils and appliances which made meal preparation a breeze. If anything the apartment we stayed in is probably overdue for a bit of a freshen up, but that aside we would definitely choose stay in the same apartment again. The location is also great just a short walk to the centre of Broadbeach making the morning coffee run very easy.

Recently spent two weeks in a 2bed apartment on the 9th floor. Big windows facing the beach meant we had a great view. Location is really good close to shops and restaurants. No way this is 4 star accommodation though! It was dirty, beds were incredibly old & uncomfortable, and they clearly haven't made any updates since the 80’s. Apartment had an ensuite bathroom however the shower was so dreadful in the ensuite with water spraying everywhere from the shower head & arm. Also the toilet lid didn’t stay up so rested on your back while you were sitting on the toilet! Many kitchen appliances were dirty (jaffle iron had caked on food on it). Would not stay here again, the location doesn’t outweigh the tired, dirty state of the accomodation.

Stayed for three nights in a three bedroom apartment on the 15th floor (unit 58). Upon opening the front door we were blasted by the overwhelming smell of bleach, we quickly ran around opening all the windows so that we could actually breathe. The apartment is OLD, with furniture dating circa 1980’s, there are also no fly screens so at night if you need to leave the windows open you get to share your space with moths and mozzies. The plus to this apartment is the view and location - easy walk to shops, restaurants and the beach, a negative was the shower which regularly ran cold mid wash. But my favorite part of the stay was our last day, our online booking reservation stated check out was 12pm, at 10:30 we had a knock on the door stating we needed to leave as the cleaners were coming, I rang down to reception to let them know that our booking stated a 12 o’clock check out only to be abused by Sue at the front desk who would not listen at all and basically called me a liar as they didn’t do 12pm check outs. I stated that I had the email confirmation and she demanded I come and show her. Upon arriving to reception Sue in all her politeness had highlighted a print out which stated a 10am check out, I said that if she would allow me to show her my booking I could prove that we did indeed have a late check out to which she called a colleague over to witness my “lie”. Showing my confirmation rendered Sue silent with the other staff member apologizing multiple times stating this had been a mistake but we were in fact correct. After such hideous customer service, dated accommodation and multiple mozzie bites I will endeavor to find alternate accommodation on my next visit to...

It was a little cheaper than other places for a reason! The superior refurbished room we had was far from that and just satisfactory at best. It was very dated & probably refurbished 10 years ago. We had issues from the start, first of all the cleanliness was not up to par especially the bathrooms around the toilet area and the dust under the coach and bedside tables was thick. We couldn't use the washing machine for a few mornings due to a leak, the door on the bedroom slider exterior door literally fell apart. It was 'fixed' shut so for the last 4 days of our stay (no fresh air in the bedroom). The oven didn't work but to be fair it was at the end of the 7 night stay so no biggie but beware if you are planning to cook, check everything works. Also, forgot to mention that one of the pillows had blood stains on it when we first arrived (i just put it in the wardrobe). The property managers were fairly quick to try and fix things but they should be proactive, I got the impression that they knew things are breaking but wait until it is reported by a holiday maker. This isn't the way to treat paying guests and very poor customer service. All the above shows that the place is in need of some heavy maintenance and refurbishment. The location is the only thing going for this place. Would not recommend to anyone or stay again even...
