The Arc at Nobby's — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I went to The Arc for a quick drink with friends, have been here many times before and always enjoyed it... When we entered we were told we weren't allowed bar service without masks (That's fine, my mistake I left mine at home) But I saw a few people get served without them, and I was only there for 15 minutes so I thought great!

I went up to get a beer and was told by one of the workers who was also not wearing a mask "We absolutely do not serve anyone without a mask, trust me we won't serve you." I said okay and sat down. That was fine... until then watched that exact worker open a juice bottle with her mouth, and pour into a glass, and then another worker with a docket in his mouth that he placed over a beer. I will reiterate as well, none of the staff were wearing masks.

I am totally in my wrong for not wearing a mask in the first place, but why push those rules if the workers themselves are not going to follow them, and then extend that by contaminating certain drinks or bottles and not following proper WHS procedures... 🤷‍♂️

Came here this morning and was so happy I did. As soon as I saw they had a great kids breakfast menu I decided to stay. The lady who greeted us was so lovely and welcoming. She came over straight away with a tub of toys and a little bowl of fruit for my son which was the sweetest thing. I ordered my son a baby chino and they had decorated the cup which had absolutely made my sons day. Coffee and food was really lovely and the atmosphere was great. Even though there was construction going on nearby I was happy because it was great entertainment for my son who loves excavators so I was able to eat peacefully. Unfortunately, this place has lost its appeal. It used to be a great place to go for lunch/dinner and some drinks but the place has gone down hill. We went for dinner with a group of friends and the food was terrible. It was a busy night and the staff were busy so didn't want to say anything but feel compelled to give constructive feedback because this place could be improved again with a decent menu which offers plenty of gluten free and/or vegan, vegetarian options etc. But also better care and preparing the food. I felt ill after eating and when I woke up the next morning. It was like it wasn't sitting well at all. Sorry guys but hopefully this can help you improve your...
