So here is one of the most obscure yet amazing reviews in giving to date. We made a reservation at George's seafood and steak restaurant. We arrive by uber in front of the restaurant.
We walk in and greeted by a lovely lady and I tell them we have a reservation for 4. She proceeded to ask us if we wanted an inside or outside table. We chose inside.
The air-conditioning was awesome on this humid evening.
We proceed to order what we saw on the menu online which was the seafood platter. The last said they don't have that on the menu so she goes and gets the manager /owner he was a lovely friendly Italian guy. He said he would make whatever we wanted. We told him we wanted Moreton Bay bugs along with other good stuff. We ordered the kids from the menu on the table.
I would say 20 minutes maximum the food started to come out. The pasta for the kids looked awesome. Our seafood platter was amazing. Packed with awesome fresh and grilled seafood. Lobster, bugs, oysters 3 ways and more. Amazing food. Bottle of red wine. What more could you ask for.
The service was impeccable.
When we were done we left. Here is the clencher.
As we were about to board the uber to go back to our resort, we noticed we didn't even eat at the right place, we ate at Valentino's and no George's. The are right next door to each other, and have the same type of neon lighting.
Wow mind blown. The fact that Valentino's made us feel so welcomed, had a table for us without a reservation plus made us a seafood platter without it even being on the menu is a testament to a1 customer service and found whatever it takes to make the client happy.
We had a chuckle on the way home about our experience and I sort of feel guilty about what happened, but I guess this was meant to be and we are greatful for this experience.
Thank you for your hospitality. It...

So after ordering a significant amount of dishes, my mother and I still finished everything. The freshness of all seafood is nothing to argue about . For the first time, I ate an extremely fresh pizza/seafood pasta that I was 100% sure that it was made with fresh prawns instead of frozen shrimps. The $18 pumpkin and crab meat cream soup is served with fresh crab meat! It becomes quiet rare nowadays. Perfect seasoning. The seasoning is light for me, but it absolutely highlights the characteristics of all ingredients well. I highly appreciate it. The pizza sauce is never excessive, the cheese is smooth and relaxing, and the parsley is appropriately sprinkled; the fresh shrimp and squid are luxurious. The dough or bread (? I am not sure about the traditional name for that) made is delicious. The crust looked so thin but my cheeks were sore from chewing. It is very tenacious, and the more you chew, the more fragrant it becomes. Even if you finish eating all the toppings, you can still feel the smell of spices and the original wheat aroma that permeates through the bread. Seafood pasta is perfect as well. One Italian gentleman kept politely ushered tables of guests into the store, arranged them one by one and sat down. Every time a guest goes up and down the steps, he stood by and reminded the guest to pay attention to their step. He was so gentle and friendly my gosh (other staff were also helpful though)! I usually don’t expect any service from a small cafe, but I walked away rather happily this time. I even couldn't bear to make anything left, otherwise it may frustrate the chef (you did very good job! well done! Thank you :) Anyway, I hope that I could revisit Valentinos...
Read moreErrors from start to finish. Pink lemonade was just a kids red engine drink. *Asked for exactly what menu said garlic focaccia bread and man said want cheese garlic or just garlic, said yes to the cheese garlic focaccia. Served a round cheese pizza and we thought, ok, maybe this menu is genuine Italian and this is their garlic bread. Ordered main Alfredo fettuccine menu says brandy and cream white sauce. There was no white sauce at all just oil over it so pasta doesn’t stick. Other main spaghetti marinara. Big prawn head in it and smothered in oil the bottom of bowl was a swimming pool of oil. *Man comes and says finished your beer and before my husband could answer he’s picked up the beer swirled it around and said, oh you still have beer and puts bottle down. Went to pay and our entree cheese garlic focaccia bread $36. Asked why, lady says we ordered 2 garlic cheese pizzas. We said no, man offered cheese on our focaccia garlic bread. Lady said all our garlic bread is made on pizza dough and you said yes to cheese. So their menu is a scam says entree garlic focaccia but it’s really garlic/cheese on pizza dough and you’re charged for a main pizza! Wasn’t worth fighting we just wanted to leave. *People behind us were upset they got wrong sauce in their pasta dinner and waited so long for dinner like they forgot their order. Too many mistakes will never go back, ripped off the place was all...
