👀 Walking into Xenia feels like a little slice of Greece in the heart of Coolangatta. The vibrant, Mediterranean-inspired decor and warm, inviting atmosphere instantly transport you. to Greece. 💥 The space is bathed in natural light, with colorful tiles and WHITE tables that create a cozy yet lively setting. 💁🏼‍♀️ Service was attentive and friendly, with staff who seemed genuinely passionate about the food and eager to share their recommendations. 🍇 Trio of Dips - $28.50 - A delightful assortment of creamy, flavorful dips served with warm pita and olives. The variety was excellent, and each dip—be it tangy tzatziki, rich melitzanosalata, or zesty hummus—was a treat. The warmed olives were a nice touch, adding a burst of briny goodness. So expensive for dips though! 🦑 Calamaraki - $22.90 - Flash-fried baby squid, served with a zesty lemon and Greek sauce. The squid was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a light, crispy batter that wasn’t too greasy. The lemon and Greek sauce added a refreshing and tangy kick. 🥗 Greek Village Salad - $23 - A classic Greek salad with a vibrant mix of tomato, cucumber, peppers, onion, kalamata olives, and feta cheese, all topped with a sprinkle of oregano and a light dressing. It was fresh, crisp, and bursting with the flavors of the Mediterranean and again SO expensive.. ✨ Xenia is a fantastic spot for Greek cuisine in Coolangatta. So gather some friends, order a spread of these delicious dishes, bring your wallets and enjoy!

Xenia Coolangatta makes for a vibrant spot to enjoy a leisurely Greek lunch by the ocean. With its bright ambience and panoramic seaside views, the setting alone feels like an escape. The food was largely impressive. The prawns were a standout — fresh, succulent, and cooked to perfection, the sort of dish that instantly evokes the coast. The lamb cutlets were equally well-prepared, tender and packed with flavour. The only real disappointment was the haloumi, which arrived undercooked and missed that golden, salty crispness one expects. Service was a highlight. With just one waitress covering multiple tables, she not only managed the room efficiently but did so with genuine warmth and smiles, leaving a positive impression. Prices run slightly higher than average, but considering the quality of the food, the attentive service, and the unbeatable ocean views, lunch at Xenia feels like money well spent. Verdict: A sunlit Greek lunch spot with fresh seafood, excellent service, and a view worth lingering over — just a little more attention to detail in the kitchen could elevate it further.

This was our last day on holiday and we ate out most nights with all place being well priced and great quality however this was over priced for sub par Greek food. This was our last night together as a family and it was such a disappointment . The manager was trained to be apologetic but took no responsibility for the service provided and did not offer a resolution and just kept making excuses. this night was totally ruined. The staff were very arrogant and one of the waitress was very rude and stuck up and kept pulling faces as she walked off. I mentioned this to the manager and basically he said nothing. Food was Over priced for what it was 180 dollars for not much 2main a side and 2 drinks as a group we spent around 800 dollars.. Portion were not great and I left hungry despite the cost of the meal. The manager did not care one bit and the only way I feel I can solve this is to dispute a Charge back that I will be going. This place also does not cater for allergens as everything is marinated in garlic that meant my father in law had to go eat pizza somewhere else (Italian) and the only answer when I challenging the manager us is that we need to call in advance. After 20 years of hospitality management I have never been to. Restaurant that can’t cater for allergens. Manager made up some excuse about Italian restaurants and how they work and don’t provide for people with allergies. my family run several Italian restaurant that cater for all dietary needs these comments made by the manager was an excuse to devoid all responsibility. The cost of the meal provided and the service we received made me feel that this place is a overpriced Tourist trap so avoid. the one redeeming quality was that the cocktail were very good. I hope the owner is able to reach out to me and be willing to discuss this further.

update. The owner never reached out to me to discuss this further i have now taken action to resolve this...

Higher priced meal on the strip. Great location but the meal was just lacking something to make it stand out for the price we paid. We started with the sharing mezze which was great. Nice selection of dips, olives, capsicum, dolmades, sausage, and bread, very ample for the 4 of us. Then we waited, and waited, and waited a little more for our main courses to arrive. I took note, whilst we were waiting there were only 5 tables to serve. Something is wrong here. It is also seemingly an excuse for slow service by including a by-line on the menu about "if your in a hurry, order at the bar". I get that slow long afternoons with food and drink is a Greek thing to do. But this was dinner, and we were hungry. Now comes to the letdown of the evening. Our mains were served: the meat platter, and the mussels special. The mussels to begin with were in a very tasty sauce, and served with pita bread. The downer was green lipped mussels were used, which unfortunately from our opinion let the dish down by their overly briney-fishey flavour. Black mussels would perhaps have been a better fit, as they are much smaller, and sweeter. Another criticism would be the bread which was served was never going to allow for any amount of the great tomato broth to be surrendered to the bread for consumption. The second main was the meat platter. It is a sight to cry over for the inner carnivores, and is delicious. My only criticism here again is the bread. Give me more of it! You have supplied me with a mountain of lamb, chicken and pork, yet like 2 pita breads to consume it with. Don't get me wrong, I love picking up chunks of juicy flavorful meat, and consuming it straight from the platter, but I also love to make my own wraps which is just part of the...

Amazing night with Fabulous Food and Service!

We had a dinner function (46 people) at Xenia Grill last week. The restaurant is across the street from Coolangatta beach, décor of the place was casual and funky with an good outdoor deck area. Our Set menu was basically an amazing feast, started with Olives, Dips, Saganaki, Greek Sausages, Calamari and those amazing (Garides sti Skala) giant Australian tiger prawns cooked on charcoal with herbs, chilli & lemon, many of us were full after that! Then comes the main meals with Spit roasted lamb and Chicken, Greek Salad, Aegean Slaw, Lemoni Patates, on top of that we had Loukoumades (Green Doughnuts) for dessert. Unpretentious fabulous food cooked to perfection.

Now here comes the best part of the night – the service. We have had many this type of functions around the country, many of us are from Melbourne. This has to be the best level service we have ever encounter with in a large function. Our waitress “Ginger” is professional, friendly and fast, no one was ever short of drinks and never once got the order wrong, everyone was so impressed with her, one of our delegates wanted to give her $50 tip! Antonio the manager was also very friendly and helpful, kept checking with us all night making sure everything was running smoothly, not to mention Dino and Kate husband wife team (the owners) was very flexible, with a clear understanding of how we wished to proceed with the event and helped created this fantastic set menu!

“Ginger the super waitress”, “fantastic food”, “those amazing giant prawns”, “best lemon potatoes I have every had” those are just a few samples of excellent feedbacks we received from our delegates, one of the best function we...
