Well words can't explain how truly disappointed I am. As a food critic and connoiseur, I am truly disappointed. I arrived there on the 18th of January, hoping to receive a decent quality beef burger, instead what I got truly looked ghastly. When I opened the wrapping to my burger, the blue cheese was over the top and melting into the wrapping. The burger itself was burnt in areas and in other areas it was falling apart, which made it look like the inside of my grandfather's colostomy bag. A brioche bun might've saved the burger, but no, it was a terrible bland tasting wholemeal/rye bun, that ruined the texture of the burger and the blue cheese and the caramelised onion, does not work together, and the amount of ingredients they stuffed together into the burger, over complicates it, so I would not reccomend any item. I would even go as far to say that a Whopper makes itself look good compared to this thing that they call a burger. When asking for a menu to read, all they had was written chalk on the walls, making things slightly confusing, a written menu on some papers would be nice for customers to read. Overall the price of the coffee and food, is way over-priced. The customer service was average and the only highlight to the dish was the sparkling water.
This is definitely a place I would not recommend if you're looking for a friendly smile, good food, or reasonably priced coffee in...
Read moreWe ordered rwo panini rolls from menu board and juices. I told the waitress that I had two wisdom teeth taken out recently and could still not chew crusty bread so she offered to replace with a soft roll. After half an hour I enquired how much longer it would be & was told had just gone into the oven for toasting. I said I wasn't told it was to be toasted and as I had asked to replace with a soft roll due to the dental surgery so asked to remove mine from oven. It came out toasted so had to disassemble the roll and not eat it which meant food was wasted although the positive was the juices were absolutely delicious. So a 3...
Read moreLovely little cafe with a cosy ambience. Our coffees were perfect strength and temperature. Double shots in the large mugs and milk not scalded.
Our order consisted of sauteed mushrooms to which a poached egg was added and the smoked salmon. The meal size would be on the smaller size for a cafe breakfast, but they were both well presented and tasty.
One issue - the positioning of the menu. Whilst it looks really cool - menu items and descriptions pinned to a blackboard wall - it is really awkward to read as you have to intrude on other people's dining...
