Hahndorf Oak Tree Cottages — Hotel in Hahndorf

What an absolute gem I can not recommend this place more highly.|The owners Russell and Lisa from the moment we arrived were so helpful. The cottages are sparkly clean yet quaint and homely, they offer everything you need and some. You walk out your quiet cottage and boom you are in town. Lisa took the time to explain where to go and what to do, offering great advice on the cheapest to the finest in town to which she was spot on.|Other friends arrived to join us and got the exact warm and accomodating welcome.|Do yourself a favour and support this couple that have recently taken over, I know we will be back and looking forward to the ice creamery and extras they are adding. This place has an amazing oak tree in the courtyard for all to enjoy, it's 100 years old we just sat under and enjoyed with a drink, but each cottage has its own porch anyway...

My partner and I had an absolutely lovely time here. The unit was cosy, private, immaculately clean, air-conditioned, well-equipped and well thought-out. The group of units are set back from the main road, separated by the carpark (large enough to manoeuvre large vehicles) with a security gate - again well thought-out - as we didn't hear any traffic noise, despite being in the heart of Hahndorf. To that point, you couldn't beat this place for convenience - walking distance to everywhere in Hahndorf. Although all the units were occupied, we felt we had our own space.

The owners were friendly, warm and hospitable. For such a good location, amenities and comfort, the price was very reasonable. We look forward to coming back and cannot recommend this...

Oak Tree Cottage combined the ease of car parking, fast wifi, a beautifully clean apartment and charming thoughtful Hosts in the middle of busy Hahndorf. The cottage had a comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and kitchenette with microwave, small fridge, kettle etc with utensils for 3. There was a comfortable leather couch plus a table . Great for playing cards with 4 people. TV has Netflix and YouTube capability. Reverse cycle aircon was effective in the 29C days. A washer/dryer is on site which was appreciated after travelling for a week. Easy walking to everywhere in Hahndorf and the Kaffeehaus next door was appreciated at 8 am.
