Well I must say that in the past I've had ok pizza from here , but tonight 😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 OH .......MY......GOD!!!! Ordered a Margherita. And it was loaded up with that much tomato paste that somebody must have got an awesome deal on it and realised that it was about to go out of date , so they had to get rid of it somehow. I picked up a piece and couldn't even bring it to my mouth due to the fact that everything was just sliding off it 😆😆😆 . Was even more disappointed not to find fresh basil on it , instead they used dry herb which you could hardly taste and not even buffalo mozzarella. So disappointed after paying $23.00 along with a ice tea which I must say was outstanding 😃😅😅 . Service was poor after I told him that it was the worst pizza I've ever had . Told him that he was costing the owner a fortune in tomato paste. As I walked out he made a comment, i walked back in and asked him what he said , he's reply was that everyone likes it like that . I said that there's not that many drunk people around at this hour of night , and told them to look for a new profession . Had about five guys standing around doing nothing. Feel sorry for the owner as if this continues and they , the owners are unaware of this then they will most likely go out of business. I must say in all fairness that the guy who served me was freindly and service with a smile . In fact I believe he should of gave me some type of store credit and I wouldn't be writing this review, comes down to experience i suppose 💁‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️Seriously guys...

Medici is amazing pizza! The crust is perfection! I'm big on eating the best pizza i can find and I feel so lucky to have found this place in the middle of the city with 15min parking just outside. We were on our way home and looked up pizza near me. Never been there before so just said what we wanted on two large pizzas. I got cheese, pepperoni, olives and anchovies with a tomato base. Sandy got chicken, bacon, mushroom and cherry tomatoes. You know how you order from a new place and you just have your fingers crossed hoping its going to be something special well I was blown away! The pizza got to the car and I had to try it fresh out of the oven. OMG!!! BEST PIZZA IVE HAD! EVER! hammered half and took the other half home. Then when at home I gave it the "gone cold test" again amazing! The base is soooooo good! Crunchy, light but not to light and the exact amount of chewy. Yummmm! The toppings are loaded on. I asked for anchovies on every slice and this has it and more. The staff there were super nice and friendy to the point where you feel good from it and talk about it. Next time we go to town I'm gettin pizza! Thanks Medici😍we love you! Oh and about $40 for 2 large pizzas is amazing value for what...

We had decided to go to Medici for our last meal before we had to travel home to the main land early the next morning.

After some deliberation we decided to place an order and were told that it would be with us shortly. We waited 30+ minutes for our pizza during which we saw people being told there was quite the wait but only after they had made their purchases. I wish we were told this because we would have gone elsewhere.

The staff member who was making the pizza not wearing any gloves and could be seen eating the ingredients. The same staff member could then be seen touching cleaning items that were on the floor next to the ingredient fridge and pushing a broom around all whilst continuing to make pizzas. All whilst not washing her hands. The other staff member present was wearing gloves, however, with the same gloves on was also cash/eftpos terminal handling, managing phone calls and using their store tablet.

There seems to be a lack of standards as far as food handling and safety goes.

We didn't end up eating the pizza after having witnessed what we did. Would not even think of...

One cold winter's night in Hobart city, I'd just been to see Electric Wizard at the Odeon theatre and I'd worked up quite a hunger. I stumbled across this conveniently located pizza joint. Being a vegan I was glad to find at unique vegan option and promptly ordered an entire pizza for myself. It must be said, there was a wait, quite a wait, and I felt myself becoming ever more hungry as each minute passed. I felt forgotten in a cold and lonely world. But just when I'd almost given up, out came this steaming hot circle of life... It was a thing to behold, but I had not yet know of it's tasty delights. From the first bite I knew it was something special. It was as if I'd never really tasted before, and I'd never really taste anything quite like it again... For a brief moment in time, all was right and good in the world. Thank you kind pizza merchants, keep working your tasty, tasty magic.

Medici is the pizza paradise for non-veg pizza lovers. They serve a wide range of pizza in different sizes from whole pizza to a slice of pizza on the go. They also offer fusion pizza like half and half. I have been to this place twice as I really loved their vegetarian pizza, unfortunately they are not consistent with the veg pizza. The second time I was a bit disappointed. I ordered the following: 1. Vegetarian tradition pizza: RECOMMEND—The pizza had so much of chess and very few veggies on it. however, my first experience was really good. The pizza was loaded with veggies and perfect amount of cheese on it. 2. Margarita: NOT RECCOMENDED- The tomato base is too strong for a margarita, which is a complete turn off. The quantity of cheese is good on this one (just had this first time not sure how its going to turn out if I order again.)

Small corner shop, mainly takeaway, but there are a few tables and chairs here if you want to dine in. We had 2 large pizzas takeaway. They were reasonably priced and decent sized. The bacon and cheese was tomato based and was exactly what was promised. The bacon had a nice smokey flavour/taste and was covered in cheese on a nice crunchy pizza base. The other pizza was a Medici, with tasty Italian sausage, olives, mushroom, semi dried tomato and mozzarella on a tomato base. Also very nice and crispy base. This was comfort food for a rainy day. Yum yum.
