Good food, very disappointing service - We checked out their delicious sounding menu online, so we stopped in for some dinner for two. Let's just say this is no place to go if you are in a hurry or starving. When we finally got to order, we got precious little help with the menu but attitude instead. We settled on market fish - but no one even told us what it would be. Our entree took forever to arrive and when it did it was average (sweet chilli sauce from the bottle, really?) and any dish designed to share that comes with 5 pieces makes little sense to me. Also our water glasses stayed empty for long stretches... Our mains again took their time to arrive and when they did, the side dish was the wrong one, even though the waiter himself had made the recommendation for what we didn't get. We said nothing, now being an 1h30 into things, so that's on us... Anyway, what we eventually got was really yummy, so that's something. We'd have liked to order dessert - the banana fritters sounded great - but no one even bothered to offer. Once we asked for the bill we again had to wait for ages and once we had it, no one returned to collect it, so we had to make our own way up to the counter to have our payment finally processed. We left without a goodbye from our waiter or so much as a glance from any of the other staff... oh well. Maybe...
Read moreWas quite excited to give Suzie Luck's a crack. Finding the place absolutely packed on a Wednesday night was encouraging also! Unfortunately, that's about where it ended. Service = top shelf. I understand the servers were flat out and we could see they really earnt their pay! Good job! Atmosphere - It's a great space and I could see why people come to hang out. But you couldn't go there to have a nice intimate conversation though, I found myself either yelling to my wife to be heard, or just us both sitting in silence. Food - The Korean Fried chicken was absolutely smashing! 10/10! But most of our other food was literally inedible due to the salt content. I am pretty certain a whole bottle of rock salt was spilt in the Chicken Laab, not even joking. We could not eat it. The satay skewers were the same. The server said we need to wrap the skewer in lettuce leaves that were provided. There was a reason for that, SALT. Admittedly the server offered me a free drink and also offered to re-make it, but we did decline, simply because we had had enough at that time, and just wanted to go. I had purchased a gift voucher for this experience, and they did take the Chicken laab off the final bill so thankyou, but we had no desire to come back, so we gave them the full gift voucher...
Read moreGone with a Tuesday Dinner time. Didn’t expect that they’ll busy as the staff did hence they advised there will be a long wait tome around 20mins for food orders which we appreciate as we have been given a heads up. Staff were great, very accomodating. We were directed to our seat which isn’t very comfortable, it was the stools. Had requested to be moved but they had been fully booked as per staff. Food was great especially the Chicken & Coriander Dumplings, Peanuts, Lime Chilli Dressing!! Really want to order another one but wife stopped me as theres still so much food. Had the Chicken Katsu which was almost burnt, complained about it upon paying, staff offered drinks on the house but as i cannot accomodate anything anymore i had to refuse. Still a great place, would be coming back for sure.
From 4 stars to 5 Stars!!
Had an opportunity to go back as was craving for the dumplings but ended up ordering pork and prawn pad thai and their thai red curry lamb. First wait staff only offered rice but the one who delivered was the Second waitstaff as he offered us if we would like rice and “roti”. We went for the roti and it didnt disappoint ending up with us ordering a few more.
Thank you for the music and great place for sheltering us from eerie sound from a...
