This Vietnamese restaurant seems to know how to make good Soup for Pho.
Broth was very meaty-tasty, well balanced quality, hot enough to mix some vegetables provided with together. Most importantly food were worth of paying for!!
Hot soup saved me from chilly weather and binge Pub drinking in this happy & blessed Island, Tasmania
Sliced raw beef briskets on top of Pho should be slow cooked after mixing then with noodle in hot enough soup, this is one of typical styles how to make Vietnamese Pho soup taste better, but which may take a couple of mins and it may turn clear soup into dark and meaty flavor.
Try to ask staffs to cook meat in advance if having clear soup is preferred.
By the way, meat in Pho and Stir-fried dish was a bit chewy, but it was happy to enjoy as this restaurant does not use a meat tenderizer which is one of reasons why giving them good review. Hope to come back soon and taste dishes...
Read moreLooking forward to a delicious bowl of Pho, I ventured to this place with its promising 4-star rating. However, upon arrival, I noticed that the staff mainly conversed in Mandarin, despite it being a Vietnamese restaurant. Raised an eyebrow, but I tried not to let it affect my judgment. Opting for the beef ball pho noodle soup, I hoped for an authentic taste of Vietnam here in Hobart.
The presentation was decent enough, but the first sip... Oh, dear. It was like a cricket ball thrown by the great Shane Warne himself, completely unexpected with a wrongum. Regrettably, the soup turned out to be the worst Pho I've ever tasted. Just salty broth with a faint hint of beef ball flavor.
Disheartened, I scrolled through the Google Reviews afterwards. Interestingly, many of the 5-star ratings came from users with very few reviews to their name.
1 star is for the Pho noodle soup. Perhaps other dishes on the menu might...
Read moreHorrible food, rude service, out right aggressive owner. Staff are prone to not using gloves when handling food.
We ordered beef pho and it was served without any vegetables on the side as they usually are when pho is served.
When we asked for vegetables, the staff told us that they had run out. They then refused to let us change to a different dish or provide a refund but instead, would not even stop and talk to us for more than second.
When we asked to speak to a manager, the oldest looking person who clearly looked and acted like the owner came forward and YELLED "no manager, we all staff. Go away, we busy".
She was not just rude, but aggressive.
It is clear that they are not expecting repeat business but count on "one off" customers who are just visiting Hobart.
I'm sure they don't care about bad reviews but I hope this can prevent another diner from having a bad experience whilst visiting this...
