Cellar Door Wine Store — Restaurant in Hume

Absolutely lovely little place on Ford Street. We stumbled in for an after dinner drink and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The atmosphere is cozy, especially on a cold night. They have a large range of different drinks - I had two red wines, a cider, some champagne and pear cognac. My partner had a few beers as well. All delicious. The owners and workers go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We chatted and received a bunch of helpful recommendations for our time in Beechworth. The epitome of Beechworth hospitality and fine wine. Nuff said.

But I’ll continue....Even in Beechworth where everyone is absurdly friendly these folk take the cake. They have a great selection of local and foreign wines and basically host a revolving door of talented vignerons on the premises because this is the #1 place to imbibe.

The downside? They’re far too generous and kind:)

I would Spinal Tap this review and give them six stars were it possible. This establishment is truly the must visit joint...

My man made a comment to myself when we walked in 'Would you like a glass of plock dear?'

This was in front of the owner who then made a comment 'We don't serve plock here, we serve wine!'
