We have been staying at this accomodation for many years.||||Sadly this year was very bad.||||Unfortunately the cleaning standards no longer exist in this place and now we are living in an age of Covid and Omicron no one should have to put up with such blatant and neglectful cleaning standards.||||The following cleaning standards were raised with them which included:||||The tiles at the front door entry had a black film on them.||The kitchen floor was black never been cleaned .||The bathroom floor had hair on it and the surfaces were all dirty.||The side tables in the bedrooms and surfaces were all dirty and the light fixtures had fingerprint marks all over them.||The kettle did not work.||One of the TV remote controls did not work.||All the door screeched the front door was the worst one of the lot.||||We wrote a letter complaining and they said our complaints were to extreme and unfounded.||||They then cancelled our booking for our next stay.||||I would hate to imagine how many other people have complained given the poor standards which were unveiled when we stayed.||||Our photos do not lie we have the proof.||||These people simply do not care about anything other than money.||||We found another lovely place to stay and the people are big on cleaning, being covid safe and making the customer feel happy and most of all acknowledged.||||To all customers out there do not put up with this poor standard complain do not tolerate this.||||It was clearly not worth $225 for one night.||||Its clear that the people that own this place are small minded and don't care about customer satisfaction it's there loss in the end.||||When you are on holidays your not expected to clean after a 6 hour drive.||||A...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR GROUPS. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE YOUNGER (we're all about 28). There was so much wrong with this place, I will never come back nor would I recommend to anyone - ESPECIALLY if you come for the Winery Walkabout.
First and foremost, we were in a group and each of us had respectively booked seperate apartments. There was no sneaking in more people that it could fit, we each had our own bed. Despite this, we found the manager extremely rude towards our group. One our second day he simple walked into our apartment without knocking to give us a newspaper and had a snoop around- creep, snoopy, snoopy etc! But shout out to the woman on the desk - she was very nice.
AND THE TOILETS! They would not stop blocking. And it wasn't just because of the cheap, disgusting toilet paper they provided. God, there was one time I just flushed straight after pooing without wiping to not block the toilet and it still blocked.
Lastly, one of my friends spilled wine on the carpet. We knew this would be charged to the room but there was NO COMMUNICATION - they just charged our card. AND HE LIED that he had "tried to call us two times." LIAR. SO MUCH FOR COUNTRY HOSPITALITY.
And the pub food? Rip-off city! Talk about overpriced for the frozen food. Big servings? Not really. Honey, I've seen bigger.. for less. You're better off driving 30 mins and going to ALDI. I am all for supporting local businesses but why do you chuck an extra $10 on for the same meals at dinner? Learn to actually manage head hours if labour is really that much of an issue. Don't eat here, go to the Pie shop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is good for the soul. We only booked by chance, when we couldn't find anywhere in Bright that would accept a one-night reservation on a Saturday night. But this is the place we'll go back to. |The kitchenette is perfect - our queen-bed room even had ground coffee, and a coffee plunger - and there was bread in the fridge and spreads, to make our own breakfast at whatever time we felt like it (obviously we then had a second breakfast at the Beechworth Bakery later in the morning!). |It's not fancy - instead all the thought has gone into it being practical. Little touches like a torch being provided made a huge difference. Apparently there's even laundry facilities on the premises.|There was so much space: in a queen room, there was a separate living/kitchen area and bedroom. The bedroom ... I will dream of it for a long time. Ours did not have windows, but because the main living room does have them, you could just leave the bedroom door open if you wanted to see the windows. We closed our door though - and I've not slept so well in years. Pitch black and absolutely quiet. Bliss.|It seems very well insulated, too - we didn't use the heater although it was winter.|And the man I think was the manager, who welcomed us on arrival, got us keys, got us a drink and then looked after us when we decided to eat at the pub restaurant because we felt so at home and didn't want to go out again, was very special. He seemed a very nice man, and was all over every aspect of the hotel.|We can't believe our luck at ending up in this place. Thank you for our stay: we...
