Rating is based on mostly the food as this is the company's primary objective - serve food. It is subjective so please make your own judgement and DYOR. Perhaps I'm not a pie fan but the expectation would then be to convince the customer they've been missing out on something amazing! Unfortunately my view was that the pie and flavour of the pie can be described as (take your pick) average, mediocre, hyped up, OK. But I'm not a pie connoisseur, just an average customer. We do return to Pie in the Sky as often as we can (even though it's really far), because we do actually love the pies they serve. The other item included in this review is a sandwich. Again, flavour was not amazing, in fact was quite bland, but it's a sandwich after all. But I will say that the actual sourdough bread was really nice. Good consistency, texture and crust. We got some doughnuts to go. I prefer the donuts near work much better - taste and texture wise. Again, my opinion only. Customer service was patient and good, because of the COVID line patrons can only really view the menu and look at the food in the window once they reach the counter. We got lucky and scored a table. Appear to be self-service (i.e. wipe down your own table before and after). A buzzer was used to let us know when the order was ready. Overall, in my opinion the hyped up craze this bakery has maybe both its saving grace and vice. Good to get the patrons in, but how many are loyal and retained? Food...

Lovely staff, quick and efficient and careful service, beautifully decorated interior, great atmosphere, very historic feeling with a bright modern country feel. Quite bustling on a tuesday when we went, but not too busy to get a table out front and also later we got a table easily inside. Gorgeous selection of foods, all at perfectly reasonable standard bakery prices. I was very surprised and relieved as a pensioner that I could easily afford a couple of cakes as well as pastries, I had worried they would be quite upmarket price wise. & I love how all the prices are so clearly stated on both menu and in front of cakes, little things like this make for a non intimidating purchase experience for those of us living week to week so we know what we can afford (some places just display the food with no price, puts me off buying anything for fear it will be out of my price range) Thankyou Beechworth Bakery for staying down to earth. Also love the self service area with sauces, tea refill, etc, very nicely done. Delicious food, the Beesting was great, always a fav of mine, but I do prefer the one at Dunolly bakery personally. Block loaf of bread we bought absolutely gorgeous, traditional, real flavour. Sausage roll pastry was I have to say a little too crunchy for my liking, but meat flavour was delicious. Cakepops gorgeous. Will have to return to try the marvellous looking pink icing...

I had my first trip to the legendary Beechworth Bakery over the long weekend and it was the best bakery I have ever been to.

I was told that lines can sometimes be all the way out the doors but didn't really believe it until I saw it myself. Even though the lines were long I was served fairly quickly and even managed to get a great little seat up on the top balcony where a local musician was playing guitar for the customers.

Although the food was out of this world the relaxing 20 minutes or so I spent on the balcony was one of my highlights. The gentleman's name was Jarrod, (I think - there was a food coma involved), and he was happy to have a quick chat at the end of his set and told me a bit about the town. He is an asset to the Bakery and I hope he is a regular performer there.

I had never tried some of the baked goods that had been recommended to me before I arrived and have now developed a taste for them. The standout was the Beestings, as the flavour of the cream was something I had never tried before. I also had a chocolate eclair that tasted just like I remember when I was little. The sausage rolls were also some of the best I have had.

I worked out the trick was to head down early in the morning when they weren't so busy and stock up on Beestings and sausage rolls to take back to the hotel for breakfast. I can't wait to...

We were lucky enough to get back to beautiful Beechworth just last week, and the very first place we went to was the Bakery! The Beechworth Bakery has outstanding food, and the pies and sausage rolls are so delicious! The Bakery service of the staff is brilliant very quick for how busy the place is every time we enter! Great range of food to choose from, and a couple of my mates love the Nutella donut they must be tasty as they wouldn't share (hahaha) The bakery is extremely clean, with great seating tables available inside and outside even an upstairs area, so you can look over Camp St while you enjoy the food... Also there are toilet facilities available here.

How can you go to Beechworth and not stop at the OG Beechworth Bakery?! 100% worth a stop every single time, no matter how many times you visit this beautiful little town! We love to dine in (always busy – but two levels of seating help accommodate for this) and we always order a Plain Beef Pie and a Beesting each, every time we visit! Absolutely delicious – can do no wrong and is perfect every single time! The staff are always under the pump but are always so friendly! I’m not a parent but I’m aware that there are always kids dining in at the restaurant and highchairs are there for use. Highly recommend taking the time to stop at Beechworth Bakery! ❤️

First day in Beechworth & first stop for lunch on a Sunday. Was not extremely busy. Easily found a seat outside. They cater to all your basic/classic tastes. We had a ham salad roll & schnitzel wrap. I was looking to take a number when I entered, as it was busier inside and it did not seem to have any line order. We just approached the front & blended in & made our way to the counter. Returned another day & got a salad sandwich. Sandwiches are small. Not much to them taste wise. It felt very cold too. Not sure if they get frozen or just kept in a very cold fridge. Restrooms available upstairs. There’s also more seating upstairs.
