Really nice place to stay that is really not expensive. Tv is large and more than enough for the stay. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Beds could perhaps do with a more modern update.... but everything was clean and comfortable. Short walk to the centre of town and towards the gin distillery end which is even better. Pool was quite small but great for kids. There was plenty of bird life around including rosellas and king parrots which stopped by to nibble on the plants and trees there. Staff were nice and friendly and it was dog friendly which is a HUUUGE bonus. We stayed with multiple friends over multiple rooms but unfortunetly we did stay in a room that had an adjoining door to the next room.... wasn't a problem for most of the stay, but unfortunetly had a bad experience on 2 of the nights where the neighbors in the adjoining room decided to speak in bed until 3.30am in the morning both nights then wake up at 7am with the tv going both mornings. Wouldn't be a problem but for the adjoing door which made every sound made next door sound as though it was in our room, they wernt particuly being "noisey" but talking that loudly until that time was very odd and the sound just travelled straight through, thank God they left and the neighbours for our last night were fine.... I would highly recommend not staying in room 24. Our friends who were in other rooms had no adjoining doors and had no noise problems at all. Besides that, the place was great, i would easily stay again but if told I would be in room 24...
Read moreStayed for a night over Easter. My most bad experience ever. My partner booked a night here. And request a room with window out towards road view. Instead got a room looking inwards no view claustrophobic.(ask on our request through booking agent under a request for out looking room) But the rude confronting care taker/manager we got was enough for us we will never come back here again. Okay we could understand the place was full it was Easter. But if a person ask if there was another room or ask for another option you don't expect coping a spray of abuse. In the end we are the guest who is paying and are entitled to ask the question if we are not entirely satisfied
Secondly rhe room very outdated smelly dark . What I was surprised to see was the dust dead bugs flies behind curtain where the window was not month's been clean. The bathroom was very old. Noticeable mould on some parts around the tiles on bath. I hate to give feedback on a institution in this bad times after Covid as business do need clients patrons but if you start to receive aggressive overtone from you enter a place and expect to rate a place i cannot be kind in my star rating. The only grace this room had was the coffee machine and plenty of...
Read moreThe high ceiling and brickwork pattern makes you feel like you're in a lovely Alpine resort, ready to hit back on the snow slopes.
Don't get your hopes up however, these rooms are very basic to say the least, and quite dirty equally as well. An example of the dirty efforts of this motel is the corner of the room I stayed in, not just one dead cricket but two additional dead millipedes. Very grey from dust and clearly been there for a while.
The shower itself is for short kings only, anyone 5'5 or higher will have to bend over just to be able to wash their hair or body.
The best part of this motel however was the heater, it was a great warmth that this overall depressing room needed.
The location is the next best part. It is nothing more than a short two minute walk to the main street, and boy is it worth it!
Owner has a really...
