Tuna Tail Bowls — Restaurant in Huskisson

Firstly, the price of the regular sized poke bowl at $21 is so steep, especially when compared to the popular Fishbowl franchise in Sydney which charges $5 less for a larger bowl and also filled to the brim. The high price point at Tuna Tail is not justified given the quality and quantity of the ingredients and our overall experience.

Secondly, it's disappointing that the protein in the poke bowl was minimal, especially given the high cost. The bowl was absolutely packed with kale - it felt unbalanced with a lack of protein and other flavourful ingredients - I genuinely felt like I paid $21 for a bowl of chopped kale.

Lastly, the lack of flavor in the bowls were concerning and could be a result of the minimal protein and overabundance of the wrong ingredients. A poke bowl should be a satisfying and flavorful meal, and it's unfortunate that the experience with Tuna Tail left us feeling hungry and dissatisfied.

Always fresh and filling! In the couple of years Tuna Tail has been open they’ve gone from strength to strength with the awesome additions of açaí (best in the bay for sure!) juices, smoothies and coffee now available too. Great spot, great produce and great people. Just updating my old review as I went in at 1pm in the middle of summer for a takeaway lunch and only waited 10mins for my ‘build your own’ bowl! I can’t think of anywhere else in Husky that would come even close to that wait time during a peak summer lunch rush and I’ve lived here most of my life. It usually takes half an hour or more just to get some hot chips… Very confused about the reviews claiming tasteless or overpriced food. Maybe they made their own bowls and didn’t get any sauce/dressing? I think the price for the quality and quantity of food is also more than reasonable. Love your work...

🥗 I made my own salmon sashimi bowl and it was so fresh. The salmon was silky and generous, the toppings were colourful and crunchy, and the sesame dressing tied it all together perfectly. Every bite was a dream.
