To the owner: First off, thank you for serving us the "delicious" smashed avocado and potato wedges (which weren't out of the world, considering the time it took for them to be served). Yes, I was told the wait time would be 45 minutes, due to the peak hour crowd, but I must thank you for serving us the chai sooner (in around 15 minutes) and then the breakfast (in an hour!). I agree it was a public holiday, and hence, I assume the place was more crowded than usual (inspite of one table being marked "reserved" and no one in the wait queue). However, I fail to understand how a smashed avocado and toast would take almost an hour to be prepared, even if it's cooked to order (again cook a smashed avocado and toast? Really?). And then the extra toast and halloumi that I ordered, after checking if it's going to take the same "long" wait, and having assured that it shouldn't take "so long" (which still took over half an hour and the food wasn't in sight). Meanwhile, we were asked twice, by the cafe staff, if we were done and if the plates could be cleared. Having lost our patience, I got up to check where the toast and halloumi have reached, and I see one of the cooks telling the staff how unhappy that person was and did not like being pushed to meet the orders. Only after seeing this did we decide that we do not want to waste time any more. And walked out of your cafe, into another cafe right in that location, and finished our meal within an hour (placing the order, being served, enjoying the delicious food, and paying the bill!). And I must say that this place was equally crowded (if not more). So, once again, thank you for your efforts in serving us. I am sure I would love to return to "your beautiful part of the world", but not so sure about the cafe.

P.S.: Your turnaround time in replying to the posts / reviews is quite...

Reason for this rating; Creamy pasta was rather a pasta made in a milk brought from one of those local dairies that scam their bottles with half water half milk, and oh was is the 'pasta of the day', and the waitress was really glad it was 'finally' ordered by someone at least. Sticky, lumpy, and I wanna say, maybe rotten gravy, given its really sour taste and consistency, straight outta its millionth microwave re-heat. Ruined the entire dry schintty, thought at least the gravy would save it. Soggy unseasoned "steak" chips. Contradictory to the decorated description of the burgers, the taste was quite bland, maybe similar to the 'steakhouse' chips. Bruschetta's main ingredient, parmesan, was given later in a bowl as a compliment, thanksssss. Also, it was a bit hard to guess, were we served onion salad with a little bit of complimentary bread, or the other way round?

Chirpy staff, not gonna lie, but didn't really help much.

Ok thanks, have a good day, spent about a couple of 100s on our precious day out, on stuff that was below mediocre.

People reading this, the cafes little ahead on the road, skip to those, don't fall for this one's...

For business, especially if it is hospitality business, there is a need for welcoming and polite behaviour. But this was not something we got when we reached Angels Bayside Cafe looking into the good reviews. The good reviews may be old, or may be the staffs have changed, I am not sure. But while entering, we saw the lady in the front desk, whose attitude was to throw us away! Not sure why, because it was 2 hours more before the place was to be closed, and there was tables empty. We went in a group, so we thought that we should also ask if availability of tables can be a problem, and we are happy to sit in two sets of tables. But we almost got scolded, after offering that! Even the 5 year old kid who was with us, felt bad with the type of behaviour we got here. It was the worst experience for us in our Jarvis Bay trip, to attend this Cafe/Restaurant and we all desperately recommend you NOT to visit this place. If the attitude and behaviour of the staffs are so bad even before you become a customer, then you can expect horrible things after you sit and order!! Beware...

We went there on a Sunday and the place was very busy. Despite the busy day, the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly, and went out of their way to make sure that our group of 9 adults and 5 kids were able to sit together after a little wait. The cafe is in a beautiful location, situated at a corner with a stunning view of the beach in front. It's the perfect spot for a relaxed breakfast with family or friends. The breakfast menu had a variety of options, and everyone in our group was pleased with what they ordered. I especially appreciated the vegetarian options, which were flavorful and filling. The quality and quantity of food was definitely worth the price. What really stood out to me was the exceptional service from the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. It was clear that they take pride in their work and care about their customers. Another bonus of Angels Bayside Cafe is that it is dog-friendly, which is great for pet owners who want to enjoy a meal with their furry friend.

The service I received from the lady who attended to me was less than friendly. When I arrived at the counter, the sign said “please wait to be seated,” but she was standing off to the side. Eventually, she came over, handed us the menu, and told us to come back to order when ready. We decided to order right away, and I went for the big breakfast. She asked what sauce I wanted, and I was caught off guard as I didn’t realize I had to choose. When I asked for the options, she rattled them off so quickly that it felt like I was being judged for asking, as if my question was obvious or silly. On the plus side, she did kindly offer a sharing plate, as I only ordered one main with two drinks. As for the big breakfast itself, the portion was massive! Two large slices of sourdough and all the classic breakfast items you could want, and it was absolutely delicious. One thing to note is the additional credit card surcharge of around 1.6%.

A Hidden Gem in Huskisson – Fantastic Breakfast & Friendly Service. This CafĂ© in Huskisson is an absolute delight! The location is perfect, offering a beautiful view that makes breakfast here even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot to start the day. The menu is impressive—well-thought-out, diverse, and inclusive of healthy and vegetarian options, some of which are surprisingly hard to find even in many Sydney cafes. Whether you’re after a hearty breakfast or something light and nutritious, there’s something for everyone. A special mention to Leanne, who was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. The service was warm and efficient, adding to the café’s charm. If you’re in Huskisson, this is definitely a must-visit spot for breakfast. Highly recommended!
