To the owner: First off, thank you for serving us the "delicious" smashed avocado and potato wedges (which weren't out of the world, considering the time it took for them to be served). Yes, I was told the wait time would be 45 minutes, due to the peak hour crowd, but I must thank you for serving us the chai sooner (in around 15 minutes) and then the breakfast (in an hour!). I agree it was a public holiday, and hence, I assume the place was more crowded than usual (inspite of one table being marked "reserved" and no one in the wait queue). However, I fail to understand how a smashed avocado and toast would take almost an hour to be prepared, even if it's cooked to order (again cook a smashed avocado and toast? Really?). And then the extra toast and halloumi that I ordered, after checking if it's going to take the same "long" wait, and having assured that it shouldn't take "so long" (which still took over half an hour and the food wasn't in sight). Meanwhile, we were asked twice, by the cafe staff, if we were done and if the plates could be cleared. Having lost our patience, I got up to check where the toast and halloumi have reached, and I see one of the cooks telling the staff how unhappy that person was and did not like being pushed to meet the orders. Only after seeing this did we decide that we do not want to waste time any more. And walked out of your cafe, into another cafe right in that location, and finished our meal within an hour (placing the order, being served, enjoying the delicious food, and paying the bill!). And I must say that this place was equally crowded (if not more). So, once again, thank you for your efforts in serving us. I am sure I would love to return to "your beautiful part of the world", but not so sure about the cafe.
P.S.: Your turnaround time in replying to the posts / reviews is quite...
Read moreReason for this rating; Creamy pasta was rather a pasta made in a milk brought from one of those local dairies that scam their bottles with half water half milk, and oh was is the 'pasta of the day', and the waitress was really glad it was 'finally' ordered by someone at least. Sticky, lumpy, and I wanna say, maybe rotten gravy, given its really sour taste and consistency, straight outta its millionth microwave re-heat. Ruined the entire dry schintty, thought at least the gravy would save it. Soggy unseasoned "steak" chips. Contradictory to the decorated description of the burgers, the taste was quite bland, maybe similar to the 'steakhouse' chips. Bruschetta's main ingredient, parmesan, was given later in a bowl as a compliment, thanksssss. Also, it was a bit hard to guess, were we served onion salad with a little bit of complimentary bread, or the other way round?
Chirpy staff, not gonna lie, but didn't really help much.
Ok thanks, have a good day, spent about a couple of 100s on our precious day out, on stuff that was below mediocre.

Read moreFor business, especially if it is hospitality business, there is a need for welcoming and polite behaviour. But this was not something we got when we reached Angels Bayside Cafe looking into the good reviews. The good reviews may be old, or may be the staffs have changed, I am not sure. But while entering, we saw the lady in the front desk, whose attitude was to throw us away! Not sure why, because it was 2 hours more before the place was to be closed, and there was tables empty. We went in a group, so we thought that we should also ask if availability of tables can be a problem, and we are happy to sit in two sets of tables. But we almost got scolded, after offering that! Even the 5 year old kid who was with us, felt bad with the type of behaviour we got here. It was the worst experience for us in our Jarvis Bay trip, to attend this Cafe/Restaurant and we all desperately recommend you NOT to visit this place. If the attitude and behaviour of the staffs are so bad even before you become a customer, then you can expect horrible things after you sit and order!! Beware...
