I love this little bakery. The award winning pies and other cakes and pastries were amazing. I had the meat pie and it was the best I have ever eaten it really puts the name of the bakery to good use. The tart was also amazing and I would highly recommend it if you were ever in town. The staff were super friendly as were all the locals in the shop whilst I visited. The coffee I must also mentioned was sensational. It was rich and creamy and just one of the best coffees I have ever eaten. I would love to go back of it weren't a four hour drive but that sadly is a me problem. I would also like to highlight the vibe of the place with the friendly lobster and croc rolls on the wall are a true piece of art to be stared at and not eaten haha. This place supposedly has award winning pies. Being a pie lover I thought I’d try one. When I asked which pies were the award winning ones, I was told they were listed on the front window. Clearly the guy behind the counter had zero product knowledge and zero customer service skills. Maybe this guy was new and hadn’t been taught yet in which case why had he been left alone? I knew the Aussie Beef was a winner so I got a regular meat pie, after all, what’s in a meat pie but beef. It turned out to be a fairly ordinary pie, certainly nothing special. This has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had from a bakery. Next time I’ll be buying my pies elsewhere. Decided to have a bakery lunch my partner had a chunky beef pie. The pastry on top was too thick and greasy lhad the Chicken and vegie pie well if you didnt know it was supposed to have chicken in it you would think it was a potato and carrot pie. I really wanted a sausage roll but there were none left and yhis was at 12.15pm. Over all l was disapointed. I also tried to order coffee with lactose free milk and l was tolk l could have almond milk but thats no substitute for those like myself that are lactose intolerant who just want a real tasting coffee.
