I was really disappointed that although this place has a Quiet Time policy from 10pm onwards but they allowed the footy team to have a noisy party till 12mn at the detriment of all the campers there. Our young baby was greatly disturbed and had a hard time falling asleep. He was always jolted up by the loud screams or laughter from the party. Next morning, there were flocks of birds making loud noises on the trees and woke all of us up again. Apart from the fantastic view, this place is definitely not a good place for a vacation if you are looking for some peace and quiet and sleep in... there was also a man in the ladies shower room when I was about to go into the shower room. He finished his shower and stood at the mirror. I was shocked and disturbed when he appeared. He then just laughed off that he went to the wrong shower room and walked off. Bad security system there. Every camper were given shower rooms keys but it is apparent to me now that men can also enter and hide in ladies shower room. How unsafe is this place! Never to go back nor recommend anyone...
Read moreThe lady Jo there is so far from professional and extremely rude. I have contacted the East Gippsland Shire and found out that this is committee run and have formally lodged an email for request of information to who this is as this woman does not need to be working there and will be asking for her job to be stripped from her. She makes a massive mistake of which is caught out on via email and then denies it going about saying I'm threatening, abusive but we were still allowed to stay 4 nights?? Today when attempting to book I found out she has black listed myself from being able to book where there was to no mention prior. I questioned her on this and her response minimal and of no interest. Although scenery is lovely they have lost 30 regular stayers there now after her treatment towards family and friends. Bystanders who were present on the day who witnessed this we got on really well with and exchanged numbers of which have confirmed her behavior and no longer...
Read moreThis is a great location on the lake's edge inside the local Aussie rules sports ground. It costs $25 per night and offers 7 nights for the price of 6. There is a bowls club within a very short walk. They offer very good lunch options for $12. The staff of the club is very friendly and helpful. The caravan park's facilities are very old, but everything works and the showers are hot with good water pressure. One unusual aspect is that the showers and toilets are in separate blocks. Most sites are situated overlooking the water where black swans are seen daily. There is a shopping centre with a Woolworths, BWS, fuel, Miller's, Target within a short walk. It is also possible if one is of average fitness to walk to the main cafe and shopping precinct which line the coastal lake. There are many areas of interest accessible from here, such as Bairnsdale, Metung,...
