After a long shift, all I could think about was eating a nice classic beef burger. After doing some googling and discovering the location was walking distance from my hotel and the reviews weren’t too bad I made my merry way to this joint. Upon arriving I noticed there were quarter eaten burgers left outside on the tables. I felt slightly alarmed but my stomach growled so loudly I instantly dismissed this and walked inside. I ordered the lunch time meal deal which included a soft drink can. I asked if I could pay the extra difference and get a passion fruit soda glass bottle instead and was met with an abrupt ‘nope, either get a can or pay for something else’ sheepishly I nodded and waited outside. 15mins later I was drooling, making my way back to the hotel to diminish my burger. It was safe to say I was beyond disappointed. The bread must of been days old as it was so stale. The meat still pink and not properly cooked. After two bites I decided to throw the burger in the bin, it wasn’t worth the risk of getting sick especially for something that tasted so gross. On the plus side, the chips were tasty and fresh.. I liked the spicy salt

I had the Tassie Tempter and beer batter onion rings. The burger was a hulking burger with slices of beetroot, bacon, fried egg, lettuce and a nice slab of beef patty. The combination was great and the burger was really good. The onion rings were delicious and crispy. Just right for a cold wintry summer day in Tassie. The chef came out and had a nice short chat with me and my missus while we were outside the restaurant, probably wondering why tourist like us dropped by the restaurant. The place has nice vibes and was filled with young families on Sunday evening. Great dining place for young and old. Good for meals. Even better when one can't find any food places on Sunday when most places are closed.

Coming in whilst tired from a long shift, I was greeted with a smile. I was really wanting a good burger and a drink, the lunch special. Even if it had just turned 4 PM, 'just' past the cutoff time... I got it and was shown a table. I was treated amazingly and the food was just as great. From the crunchy hot chips that made me pause just to enjoy each succulent bite, to the burger that I had to force myself to eat slow to enjoy it to the fullest, I didn't want this delicious food to just vanish before me. Thank you, you made me feel so refreshed with not just your food but with your kind demeanor.

First and last ! When we arrive the waitress tells us we'll have to wait 50 minutes before getting served. Was a bit surprised but we heard so good things about it that we said ok why not. As I read here, they have a lot of choices (good point) but unfortunately they run short on several things as turkish bread or avocado (bad point). 50 minutes later the french fries arrives but not the burger. Fries are ok, too salty for me but it's a matter of taste. We hoped to seethe burgers coming with the fries but not at all. Finaly we have been served the burgers 75 minutes later with no special excuses or anything. The problem when you wait that long is that you are not in the same mood to appreciate what your ordered. Anyway I tried to remain objective and what a bad experience : Bread is fine, but cold so it leaves a bad taste in mouth. I took the double beef burger and I don't know if this is lean beef as they call it but clearly it taste more like soy than beef or a king of beef miwed with tomatoes and other vegies. Anyway, not like 100% beef. Thus you have the feeling not to eat a regular beef burger but something wich is not beef. Beef was way too cooked, Iwould even call it burned. And last but not least, cheddar into the burger was not melted. Probably because during those 75 minutes they didn't have time to put it on the beef to warm it. Waited that long for that result leaves a bad taste in mouth. We eated in 10 minutes and left the place unsatisfied. The funny thing is that this place is crowded so I guess it is the place to go in Launceston when you want to eat something called burger. If you have 80 minutes to looseyou can give it a try, or order it online and go to the movie, it should be ready when you'll go out. Anyway even if I am sure burgers got soul, I clearly didn't find...

Have been there three times, First time i walked in i saw the special on the Board double Egg something i was like I'm in lol got that and thick cut chips and Tomato Relish which is the Best relish in the world they should bottle it 🙃 Burger i got was Awesome but didn't have any meat, upon further inspection it was in fact a burgerless burger, everything but a burger inside. Bacon Pineapple,Beetroot ect from memory but for $12 i didn't mind i'm not a huge Red Meat eater anywayz, second time did the whole Tassie Tempter with same fries and was well worth it but the third time i did the Funk Soul Brother and added extra Egg Runny and it was Absolutely Amazing, Quite possibly the best burger i have ever eaten in Taz, Had Sweet Potato fries this time and they were seriously Amazing, Can't wait to try their Chicken n Veggie...
