McDonald's South Launceston — Restaurant in Launceston

My kids have been pestering for the last month to go to the new McDonalds playground, Gave in today and it was not the best experience. I can say I got a reasonable coffee then went to playground. signs say children to be supervised, went in looking for a seat and could not find one because there is none! so decided to sit on the floor with the other supervising parent. While at floor level looking around I noticed Just how dirty the floor was, looked out to the new shop area and that was not much better. (my wife later told me many parents are not impressed that there is no seating) The kids soon tired of the one big slide before I had time to finish my coffee and we were back to the car. Trying to get back to the car was a struggle as I had to guide my young kids down the same path as the cars took to the carpark, with a land cruiser following behind. It struck me how good OHS has become the two workers on the car park gravel were safe from cars harm, they were behind a huge fence, but pity help anyone with kids trying to get to their car. Certainly not in a rush...

This store has dropped the ball completely and has became a home to incompetence.

Over the past 6months I have visited this store twice and both times the staff members I have dealt with via drive thru have been inpatient and rude when taking my order. When the order is finally taken it is then a lucky draw to see what has been forgotten today or messed up.

The worst of which was this evening when ordering a quarter pounder and a happy meal for my son. Somehow I ended up with just the burger with no bun, just sauce and some onion. I was in total disbelief when I opened the box and would have returned to the store if I hadn't already driven to Mowbray.

I called the store and was offered a replacement meal, but it isn't alot of use when you have already arrived at your destination.

For anyone thinking of dining or getting takeaway from this store I would highly recommend driving further up the road and getting hungry jacks where they at least remember to give you a bloody hamburger bun to eat with...

Definitely one of the prettiest McDonald's I have ever eaten at. This branch was immaculately spotless upon first glance and the decor is really modern. This is one of the more technologically advanced McDonald's branches as they seem to have pushed more self service terminals and even the electronic menu boards and multiple eftpos machines at the till shows this.

Staff were pleasant with the table service and our order took no longer than a couple of minutes to actually deliver. Coffees were made to perfection and presented beautifully upon delivery. The Mcmuffins were prepared to the standard and tasted as you would expect, but I enjoyed this better than the average Macca's ordeal. It was nice to see the store manager actually greeting people and being nice to his staff behind the kitchen.

All in all I recommend this Macca's for anyone in the area who wants a guilty brekky or to treat themselves to a fast...
