Food quality is awesome; the menu is unique, creative and highlights seasonal produce; & the menu is fairly inclusive of a range of diets by default.

Coffee quality is great, including filters & espresso-based coffees.

Spicy margaritas are to die for.

Location right by the water is gorgeous. Don’t worry about parking, it’s easy to get in the side streets.

Seating is a little cramped & with the acoustics of the building it can get cluttered noisiness, which is fine for us but might annoy others.

Wait staff are friendly but could be more knowledgeable & helpful with requests, for the caliber of the restaurant & the prices on food. E.g. We had trouble getting a clear idea of how much food to order & when it should come out (& then the items didn’t end up coming out in the order we decided), we requested a small change to a food dish to make it vegan suitable (no butter) but it came out with butter anyway & we also had 2 items quickly taken from the table unfinished (both at different times), without checking with us. On the second time my partner quickly called out but they didn’t hear, then he got up and alerted a closer team member to us (as the item was getting carried into the staff area) but they just strangely never brought back the items, addressed it with us or came back to the table, which was kind of odd.

Overall it’s a busy, lively, friendly environment with good, creative, fresh food but it’s definitely not a 5-star experience, it could definitely be improved with much better organisation, knowledge & communication.

I’ve eaten there on 4 occasions in total now & will go back again but on these subsequent visits I’ve spent less $ to balance out the cost with the...

Wow what a rip off. $28 for a Brioche Bun with a meat pattie, a spread of mustard on the bun and melted cheese and onion.

$70 for Steak. Oh and you want sides with your steak that will cost you extra.

The worst dining experience. According to management they didn't know they were having a photo shoot of this couple who apparently are doing a promotion for something new coming to Ballina, Why do it in Lennox Head then.

The women's hair was being fluffed with in the restaurant, Wine glasses were held a certain way for the camera all the while the crews attendees were talking over the top, loud and just simply unpleasant with no consideration for other diners.

Our special Xmas lunch was taken over by camera & noise of do this hold the glass this way and the staff were asked to turn off the lights. So much for your other diners. I had asked if our meals were ready ,as if not we would be leaving, but they finally came out but only after the photo shoot of food bought to their table . Over Priced & we have seen just this week were Harvest Restaurant in Newrybar closed permanently & many others who will follow. This is Not Sydney or Melbourne . Anyone else who wanted to dine in the restaurant we ushered to the outdoors & some we not happy. After expressing my dislike about the experience on paying our bill our drinks were deducted ,again over priced. We will take our money elsewhere in the...

Due to unforeseen circumstances, many of my guests were unable to attend the dinner reservation last minute. Nonetheless, for the people who were able to attend, we each spent over $100 per person. Owner had the audacity to still charge me $50 per empty seat, as per his ‘cancellation or no show policy’. This is not the contract I agreed to, because in my perspective we did show up and we did not cancel. I repeat, we also spent over $100 per person. So you did not actually lose out on any costs. Most importantly, this was NOT communicated to us on the night we attended, because at the very least if you were going to charge me $50 per empty seat, you could have at least sold us that amount in food and beverages, not just simply charging my credit card thereafter, only having these charges rudely explained to me when I had to chase you up by calling and being unable to get through and then finally emailing for an explanation. I don’t believe these charges were fair, ethical or even legal. Hence, I will be pursuing this matter with Fair Trading as well as Australian Competition & Consumer Commission. It’s one thing if we actually didn’t show up or had in fact cancelled, but to NOT have these charges communicated to us on the night we DID attend, where each person spent more than your per $50 seat quota, is unreasonable and simply...

A shelter from the storm on an otherwise dreary day - for what this restaurant lacks in pretense, it seeps substance. Where to begin? My partner and I enjoyed 4 courses of the suggested menu on a very busy Saturday with no reservation. The first course was a seasonal serving of figs, a beautiful pesto puree and a fresh biscuit of mixed seeds and pistachios - as balanced as Themis' scales. The second course of Harvey Bay scallops tasted as though they'd been plucked from their waters this morning - set upon by strips of preserved lemon zest and a spice so subtle and effective the wild rice it came with danced on the palette - leaving us wanting so many more. Next came the main of pickled pumpkin, hand made Fettuccine with roasted wallnuts. An intense dish, cut through by the pumpkin - in a league of its own and inexplicably delicious. The market fish my partner had (pictured) was fresh, moist and cooked with love. Finally our desert - a semifreddo with mango, fresh passionfruit, crushed & roasted macadamia and a coconut shredding was the perfect way to complete our lunch. The best place to eat in Lennox Heads, perhaps NSW as a whole. Obviously the chef is in total control of the kitchen with not a pittance out of place. Our thanks to the entire staff. Do yourself a favour!

Made me nervous with the cc booking requirement - was worried I'd have to pay to get stood up. Restuarant was busy. Greeted by staff very quickly and seated. Waiter was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He explained the menu and was able to explain in great detail. Waitress was good, got our order correct and was happy to ask the bartender about reduced sugar cocktail options. Made a very good old fashioned with less sugar. Drinks came fast. Food came fast. Food was delicious everything was perfect. I'm not a big fan of the menu, would have liked to see some pork or lamb, or a smaller steak that is more manageable for one person. I was going to eat the 600g tbone but decided to try few smaller things instead. I don't particularly like seafood however I really enjoyed the raw king fish. Loved the tartare. The brussel sprouts in brown miso butter are so good I would marry the chef. All in all would highly recommend. Would go back for sure especially for a lamb shank, rib eye or pork chop.
