Zambeekas Restaurant — Restaurant in Logan City

Their service is below average. Their specialty was grilled chicken, which was good once upon a time. I have been a regular customer to this shop since they opened their doors. It's a very different shop now, quality control is non-existent. During my last three take-away orders, the chicken was burnt. I am not saying just little grilled burnt sort of thing. The chicken was so black and dry that I won't even feed it to my dogs. This is the sort of chicken they would never serve for dine-in customers, who would serve a bird burnt on wires. I called the shop and asked about that blackened thing in the box, which I payed $29 for. The reply was, " You took a while to pick up the order"... Really!!! I ordered though their website at 7:41 -- Order would be ready in 15 minutes.. I was at the shop at 800pm (I have all the record of it). Even if, I am late ; is that an excuse for burning the chicken?? I am not the sort of person, who would like to write negative reviews of the businesses. Absolutely imbecilic response and lack of accountability compelled me to write this review... If nothing else, at least it will be reminder for customers who order online to check their food in the box before paying it - they might serve you the rejected chicken which they can't sell to...

Worst experience ever. I ordered $100 worth of food at 1:30 on Uber eats to be delivered between 3:45 to 4:15. Looked to see where my order was at 3:30 it said zambeekas is preparing you order. At 4:15 looked again at my Uber eats app it had that zambeekas was wrapping my order and that the driver was there. At 4:35 I receive a message from Uber eats saying that my order can’t be delivered. I was so upset my 4 children were fasting all day. They were meant to break their fast at 5. I called Zambeekas Underwood straight away to see if I can pick up the order from there but they didn’t answer. I kept on calling them they were not answering. At 5:15 they finally answered. I spoke to a rude employee, I asked why didn’t you make my order? He said at the time you made the order 1 or 1:30 we had chicken, but when we came to make the order we didn’t have enough chicken. Like seriously I made the order and paid for it at 1/1:30. Why couldn’t they leave the chicken I order aside. And they didn’t even call to let me know earlier that they didn’t have anymore chicken. They are the worst. I strongly recommend that no one...

I had previously left a 4 star review and did comment that the food was good but the service could do with improvement.

This is an update : the service has gotten far worse and so has the food :( Placed a phone order at 7.25pm. Was told to come and pick up as the food would be ready in 10mins. I arrive and am told to wait 5 mins as they would make the chips fresh. I receive my order at 8.05 PM (40 mins later). The chips were cold, soggy and stale as. Refried old chips.

The man who served me was arrogant and unhelpful and very rude especially over the phone.

My gripe. Don't lie to your customer and respect their patronage and time. If the food is going to take 40mins. Tell the customer it will be 40mins. Don't tell the customer 5 -10 mins and lie about freshly made stale chips.
