What a secret garden of experiences. From the ever enthusiastic waiter to the two hours of tea tasting with friends, for a whopping $5.50 each was an incredible treat. The generous sized scones with jam and cream are $8, and quite scrumptious. A floral arrangement on each table and the option of indoor of outdoor seating was enticing and restful. They have some Indonesian fusion and English breakfast meals on the menu. They run in the stealer price range, but I would come back simply for the tea. The creme de le creme and the silk oolong were my favourites of the visit. They also have a decadent gf chocolate cake that seemed to be a hit with my friends. Overall a beautiful experience and I will most certainly return. I would say there customer service could definitely use some better training and higher standards. One time I went there was a very kind server who was attentive and helpful, another time we were completely forgotten and I kept having to come up and order or refill things and they’d get irritated that I did (as she put it, they are a table service tea house so need to serve us at our table), but they happened frequently while there so each encounter didn’t increase the service level.

(see video attached) Disappointed as I purchased a blooming flower tea gift set (5 tubes for $80) on 13/04/24 but as soon as I got home, noticed that one of the tubes had a hair in it, and another tube had bugs crawling around inside. The gift set was labelled with an expiry of 2026. I contacted the restaurant via email and asked whether I could send through some photos/videos in order to obtain a refund. Received a reply a couple days later confirming that they'd forwarded my email to their supplier and that a representative would contact me. It is now 24/04/24 and I have received no contact from the restaurant staff or their supplier. I will say that their food was nice and the waitress who provided table service was lovely, however I would not recommend purchasing any teas from their shop. The freshness and quality control of the teas they are selling is questionable, considering that the gift set had been sat on the shelf long enough for bugs to multiply and nobody had checked to ensure it was still good to sell.

I have been here several times and enjoyed being here every time. I prefer the normal menu options as opposed to the hi tea here. The food here is very interesting and many good options. Western with Asian styles throughout so a very good mix. The bottomless tea is definitely worth trying as they have so many different types of teas to choose from. I came with another 3 friends so the 4 of us had two teapots going at a time. We got to taste so many different delicious teas which are also available to purchase to take home and brew yourself or for gifts. Please be mindful that only the loose teas are included for this bottomless option and you will have to pay extra for the blossom teas. But worth a try with a group so why not!! In the warmer months it is nice to sit out in the back garden where there is a water feature and some fish and nice decorations.

Came to Chapels on Whatley for a birthday high tea for 8 ladies. Plenty of space for more. Started with a black rice pudding, scones with jam and cream and cucumber sandwiches. All very nice; we ran out of jam and cream and the servers were very happy to get us more... Then the towers came out. There was a beautiful arrangement of sweet and savoury foods including savoury scone with salmon and cream cheese, savoury profiterole with red capsicum and cream cheese, quiche, maybe a kimchi dumpling, lemon curd tart, Nutella tart, salted caramel tart, caramel slice and macaroons. I may have forgotten one or two things there but the high tea was definitely heavy on the sweets compared to others. The high tea was quite nice and the service and atmosphere was great. I would definitely come back but have had better tasting high teas elsewhere.

The food was literally so good like i ordered the Pad Thai and the noodles were cooked perfectly and all the ingredients matched each other so well. I went with three of my other friends and we all ordered the bottomless tea afterwards and it was soooo worth it. my personal fav was the english rose tea with a little bit of milk but we also ordered the petal and fruit black tea, the butterfly pea team (changes colour), their famous chai, the blooming tea (not part of the bottomless) and the crème de la creme which was a popular fav by our group. the place itself is also sooo aesthetically pleasing that we had to do a mini photoshoot indoors and outdoors. their outdoor setting was so nice with the right amount of shade and was really cute in general. 100/10 would recommend

I shared a high tea here in May. The high tea was delicious with an assortment of hot, cold, sweet and savoury items. There was an extensive choice of teas to accompany the food. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great and you can tell there was a lot of thought out into the venue itself. We were unable to finish all of our food and they were happy to give us a takeaway box for us to enjoy the leftovers later.
