Wonderful local find for us here in Richmond Melbourne. A real home style Italian Restaurant, all cooked with Love by the bubbly Maria. The menu is wide and varies from perfect Pizzas & delicious Pasta Dishes to Steak and Hamburgers. Her Chips are the best!!! Our favourite though are the Bass fillets, cooked to moist perfection, served with the freshest Salad I’ve ever been offered in Any Restaurant. The Wine list is not huge but it adequately covers most tastes, the prices are also very reasonable. The huge, big enough for two? Yummo Espresso Martini served with generous shards of crunchy homemade Italian Crostino gives added delight to the usual. Take Away makes it convenient for busy families. It’s also a lovely big space on two levels. Situated on Bridge Road parking is plentiful as it’s just a few doors down from Punt Rd/Bridge Rd...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place as it is a local but unfortunately it completely missed the mark.
I ordered the spaghetti marinara. The seafood was not fresh and was very over cooked. The pasta most likely out of a packet and the sauce was tasteless. It also was presented with spring onions which I found bizarre.
We also shared a pizza which on paper sounded delicious but in reality, was so packed with toppings, it just fell off the base.
A positive was the gnocchi which had a rich sauce and a large serving, however it was smothered with cheese and probably wasn't necessary.
For any Italian food lover, unfortunately give this a miss. For a quick meal before the footy, then it's probably passable. It certainly has a very home cooked vibe and the prices aren't expensive, but it certainly left a bad...

Went for lunch today, top (City) end of Bridge Rd, spacious, nicely set up, was a bit quiet for a space that could hold 100+ seats, only 2 other patrons apart from us. A few reminders on the wall for this Italian casual modern "trattoria", pleasantly served by two French waiter & waitress.
Full bar and their house wines are commendable.
We've had the Fish of the Day and Fettuccine Amatriciana. Fish was well grilled (lightly cooked). lots of salads, although chips wasn't seasoned and would probably prefer something else for a nice fish dish. Fettuccine was well cooked, al dente, sauce was spot on, just too much it drown those pasta, a little less sauce would be perfect.
Overall, enjoyable lunch and it has lots of possibilities,...
