I recently had the pleasure of dining at Afghan Rahimi Restaurant, and I must say that it was a delightful culinary experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu offerings. I tried the Kabuli Pulao, a delicious rice dish with tender meat, raisins, and carrots, which was bursting with flavors and perfectly cooked. I also sampled the Mantu, traditional Afghan dumplings filled with minced meat and topped with a rich tomato sauce and yogurt. The combination of spices and textures was exquisite. The vegetarian options were also impressive, catering to different dietary preferences. I appreciated the variety of dishes available, which allowed me to explore the rich and diverse flavors of Afghan cuisine. Overall, my visit to Afghan Rahimi was a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Afghanistan in a cozy and welcoming setting.

This restaurant is not as good as what they want to portray to the whole of Dandenong, it is far from being that. Bought some food through Menulog on 17 October 2023 it was a ' Single Pack for 2' which consisted of lamb shank, some rice etc. In the notes section I specified that no caramelised carrots and no burberries, the Chef did not follow instructions. I called their phone number and spoke to the Chef on duty by the name of "LEE" this is the name he called himself, he then told me that the person who had prepared my order was learning, he was an "Apprentice Che".The Chef then asked me to bring the order back and get another order. When I went back to the restaurant I asked him why he did not check the "Apprentice Chef's" work if he is learning the job, he just gave me a very rude look. Then he spoke in his Afghan native language he probably swore. The second time around it was not good again the Chef prepared the food, the food was VERY BLAND, sauces on containers and finger marks on food cover (Photo attached). I complained and after asking The Chef's work experience he told me he had been working at Afghan Rahimi Restaurant for 6 years, I was shocked as his number of years as a Chef there, it definitely does not show in his cooking, his cooking is very bad. No care was taken at all. I did not enjoy the food ended up throwing it out, it was badly cooked. They have lost a customer. The Chef has quite a lot to learn in interacting with customers. I will not waste my money again at this restaurant. For my time taken to go the restaurant the 2nd time around I requested for 2 cheap Mount Franklin Sparkling water as I wanted to avoid another badly cooked meal! I am sure there are other Afghan Restaurants who cook well and take care, not this one for me. I have told many people not to bother with this restaurant and I will tell many people not to waste their money at this Afghan Restaurant.

Yummy tender Afghan Kebabs at @afghan_rahimi_restaurant got us drooling 💕 My mum actually took us out here since she doesn’t enjoy super spicy food and wanted something moderately healthy. We ordered the mixed kebab skewers which had lamb and chicken livers served with dips and naan. We also ordered the Afghans rice with mixed kebab skewers which came with kofta curry and two skewers to share. For $75, we were able to enjoy all of these kebabs and rice as the portions were quite good. So if anyones looking for #halal Juicy #kebabs with the right amount of spice, and a regal interior, this beauty is located at Dandenong . (Not Pr or sponsored)

Revising my comment because of response from resturnt. Had been to this place before and always recommended it to friends. Last time i visit year ago with 3 families the taste was amazing. But this time it was a disppointment.looks like the place hs changed their chef. Ordered qabuli plao and chicken karhai. Worse taste ever The rice was cold.lamb shank had smell. Krhai was like boiled chicken mixed in ready made gravy Never recommend this place. Every thing is over priced 40$ for a dish. If you are overcharging for small portion of food then atleast maintain the quality.

Best Afghan restaurant in Dandenong for quality food. I got banquet 2, which was a 5 course meal that came with a bit of everything: dumplings (mantu), Afghani traditional rice, chicken and lamb skewers, meatball kofta, borani banjan (eggplant) and gulab jamun with salad, naan and dips. I thought the best parts of the meal were the Afghani traditional rice, eggplant and chicken skewers. We received a massive amount of food and couldn't finish everything. It was a reasonably priced $45/person banquet. Individual mains are around $35/dish.
