⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Truly the Best Hyderabadi Biryani in Dandenong – Hyderabad Darbaar
If you're looking for authentic Hyderabadi cuisine, Hyderabad Darbar in Dandenong is a hidden gem that truly delivers. From the moment you arrive, everything about the experience is smooth, welcoming, and full of flavor.
First off, parking is a breeze – there’s plenty of space right in front of the restaurant, which makes the visit stress-free, especially if you're coming with family or in a group. There was no waiting time, even during peak hours, which shows how well the team is organized.
Now let’s talk about the food – absolutely incredible. Their Hyderabadi Dum Biryani is on another level. Rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, with aromatic rice and tender meat that melts in your mouth. It’s exactly what you would expect from traditional Hyderabadi cooking – if not better. Every bite is a burst of authenticity and care.
The menu also offers a variety of delicious Indian dishes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Everything is cooked fresh, served hot, and tastes exactly the way it should – bold, satisfying, and made with love.
A special shout-out to Chef Azim, who was incredibly helpful, kind, and clearly passionate about his food. His hospitality and attention to detail really stood out and made the experience even more memorable.

The worst restaurant experience of my life — Hyderabad Darbar Restaurant, Dandenong.
I’ve eaten at countless places, but I have never encountered such disgusting food and horrible customer service before. We ordered Tandoori Chicken (half plate, four pieces), and to my shock, the chicken was spoiled — black on the inside, clearly gone bad. It was literally rotten meat.
When I politely brought it to the attention of the front-end woman, instead of apologizing or checking properly, she rudely snapped back and only took one piece to show the chef — even after I told her that all four pieces were spoiled. Her tone was full of arrogance, as if she was doing me a favor by even listening. There was zero professionalism and absolutely no respect for customers.
I was planning to order biryani afterward, but thank God I didn’t. I lost my appetite completely after seeing how unhygienic and careless they were with the food.
When I confronted them again, their attitude turned even worse. They became defensive, spoke rudely, and even started using foul language as we were leaving. We didn’t want to escalate things, so we just walked out — but the frustration and disgust from that experience are still stuck in my head.
This place deserves to be inspected by food authorities. Serving spoiled meat and behaving rudely toward customers is unacceptable. I’ll never step into this restaurant again, and I strongly advise others to avoid Hyderabad Darbar Restaurant, Dandenong...
Read moreWe ordered the goat and chicken briyani with the chicken 65. Chicken 65 was yummy but only 3 pieces in a small circle tub, they didn't even bother to give us 2 other pieces to fill in the obvious gaps of space. It was stingey of them and too spicy. Should be medium unless someone asks. The chicken biriyani was barely seasoned and chicken was dry. The goat biriyani was just tasteless, weird tasting like it was cooked in some vinegary thing without any masala on the goat pieces and hardly anything on the rice. The goat was cooked well but tasted weird again, no seasoning. The sauce/gravy was watery and nothing and the raita was warm and watery. We really should have asked for a refund. We spent $43 and most of it went in the bin. For a Hyderabadi place what a shame. We used to order from there when it was under diff management and was hoping this was better. Unfortunately, this was worse than some North indian biriyani. I feel sad and shocked that i have had to give this review.
thankyou Hyderabad Darbar for your reply. I do actually appreciate you getting back to me. And I also want to give a good review and believe in second chances so I will accept the complimentary meal as ordered on the day (chicken 65 and...
