Specialising in high quality nut milks, Al Naturale stocks a range of almond, walnut and hazelnut milks as well as serving up a yummy Italian cafe menu!
We tried: 🥛 Almond Milk (20%) 🥛 Almond Milk (8%) 🥛 Walnut Milk (12%) 🥛 Hazelnut Milk (12%) 🥖 Lombardia Panino 🍞 Potato Focaccia w/ Straciatella 🍝 Lasagne 🥐 Hazelnut Croissant ☕️ Hazelnut Milk Latte ☕️ Walnut Milk Latte
We started with a little taste test of all of the different milks and this was my first time trying walnut and hazelnut milk alternatives! The 20% almond milk was nice and creamy with a hint of sweetness, which is from a single date used in the making process for mild sweetening. For a lighter alternative, they also have an 8% almond milk. The walnut milk had a really deep nutty flavour to it and my favourite of them all was the super fragrant hazelnut milk, which tasted like nutella! This one was also sweetened mildly with a date and had a distinct hazelnut flavour to it. They also have a range of paninis, focaccias, pastries and hot dishes served in the cafe - the lasagne as AMAZING and an absolute must-try. They also do walnut, almond and hazelnut croissants, which coincide with their milk flavours and their potato focaccia was nice and fluffy, although toasting it would taken it to...
Read more3 of us met in Au Naturale as recommended by a friend when he and the owner had a chance meeting the day before.
The owner, Marialuisa, was so accommodating with all our many questions regarding their menu & food recommendations, their products & milking processes among others.
The food was awesome! I don’t eat pasta much but had tried the orecchiette & loved it… they even made their own pasta! My friends had the parmigiana & eggs benedict.
BTW, before our food orders were being prepared, the owner had us sampled their 3 plant-based milk.
One can tell the passion & care that went through the milking processes, the menu & their cafeteria & their business.
No nasties in their nut milks, food & drinks!
I even bought bottles of the 3 nut milks we tried to see which goes the best with my coffees & teas & other treats! I already tried their milk with my coffee at home earlier & sharing my photo here.
Such a great find! Definitely highly...
Read moreGreat cafe just what Acland Street closer to Fitzroy Street needs! My breakfast was delightful bacan scrambled eggs avocado bacon foccacia. When I walked in there were 3 empty table that had not been cleaned up and was asked to wait 3 minutes. We were ushered to a table without a menu. and told to order at the cashier. When we did she asked for our table number which we did not have. Coffee arrived shortly and the waitress asked if we wanted sugar we said yes. When the sugar arrived in a glass jar it was slammbed on the table from behind me giving me a fright. She appologised. There are cracks in the tiles due to the chairs which squeek like nails on a black board. It is not expensive to buy velvet stick on tabs to eleviate this. I shall come back as the food is delicious, albeit Focaccia is full of salt and minimal herbs so you really dont need salt. I wish you all the best as it is a great spot for all...
