Stopped into this establishment to grab myself a ham and salad roll. Upon reaching the sandwich counter and looking at the cheapest ham ever purchased, decided to go with a salad roll. $10 the board said. Okay steep but I’m hungry. Lady puts on 1 piece of cucumber and I say “can I please have a little more, it’s a salad sandwich”. She puts 1 more piece on. I ask, “can I please grab some red onion” she puts it on. Go to pay and BAM.. $11 + 1% surcharge for EFTPOS. Now what do I know, I’m just some b*tch but the board said $10. I ask “how come it’s $11”? They sell some of the best baked goods and pastries you can get your hands on in or around Berwick for sure... The little village shopping strip as a whole is an awesome place for a lazy Saturday morning stroll as well. Very friendly staff in this particular shop and the breads are highly recommended. Still trying to find good coffee around here but didn't try the one here. They also had a Vietnamese style sandwich Bar (rolls) and everything looked super fresh and yum but I didn't try that either. This place is near a few crowded cafes so chances are you'll miss it if you just look around visually as it doesn't look like much from the outside but definitely check it out, you won't be...

This little bakery is a gem in Berwick! They have won a lot of awards for their pies and they are well deserved. I stopped by for a pepper beef pie and a large coffee and both were amazing. Okay, some people might say “a pie is a pie”, wrong. Even the most simple of pies can be done well (or poorly). The pastry was excellent and the right consistency and the filling was a perfect mix of beef & pepper. I will definitely be back next time...
