Extremely disappointing Mother's Day High Tea at Studley Park Boathouse.

We booked for 4 people ($220 total), expecting a special experience — but it was anything but.

Service was a mess. We waited over 50 minutes with nothing on the table. Coffee was late, food was even later, and both arrived together. So we drank our coffee cold.

Food quality was shockingly bad. The sandwiches were average, the egg sandwich was bland and barely had any egg. The scones were dry and crumbly — definitely not fresh. Most of the sweets tasted cheap and uninspired.

Missing items! We never got the fruit salad or two of the desserts listed on the menu.

This used to be a place we enjoyed, but this experience was embarrassing — especially on Mother's Day. For the price, you'd expect basic professionalism and decent food. Sadly, we...

Great location and nothing to match. Coffee was terrible. Customer service was worse. The blond older lady blamed her burnt coffee on my partners order and when we asked to swap it for something in the fridge she made the coffee again but how she wanted to make it. What was ordered was a flat white in the smallest cup and she brought over a tulip latte.

She argued the coffee was premium and that we were wrong. Was like arguing with a toddler. In the end she gave a refund and offered a takeaway coffee but the bad taste was left in our mouth already. She reckons we should have come yesterday, maybe she was in a better mood then 🤪

Attended 2pm yesterday (Monday). Terrible customer service. My food was delivered by a waitress chatting on her phone during (whilst service other customers too & definitely a personal call). I asked for the table to be cleaned & she got a cloth wiped one line & was off very quick with the table still dirty & not in a quarter wiped (you can see how its wipped in the photo). Mid slightly burnt sandwich the waitress waved at me to open the door instead of walking round to go through the open one. Worst chai I've had.
