The Siganture Journey was NOT it. Let's start with the OK points as there were no great points from my experience.
The bathhouse section was OK, the ice plunge (the ones you see in all the social ads) was the coldest cold plunge I've ever experienced. The steam room is huge - all pleasant points.
The Sig Journey - from the very beginning and I mean accessing the EQ building - I knew it was going to be questionable. We came on a Sunday, we didn't get a text with how to enter the main building, we followed other guests in but then they disappeared into the building and we didn't know how to get the doors open. After locating the phone number we finally got the text and got in. The welcome video from the founder was a video production nightmare - there were so many jump cuts, the lady kept jumping up and down in the frame due to the edits which made it hard to follow. And then we cut to a radio talk with 3 people, I couldn't tell if the lady was the same lady in the first video and trying to figure that out meant I wasn't really listening. Also the third mystery man wasn't introduced, there was no title card giving us context of what the radio snippet was about and how it connected to the sig Journey. The host I realised was the main guy with a electronic face mask you see when you enter the video room - which you stare at for a long time if you're early. It was just wholly unnecessary and a bit unnerving. Also, for those who regularly do the sig Journey- do they have to watch this video every visit?!
The sound therapy was also weird, whilst focusing on the colours on the wall I noticed drip stains on the wall which took me out of it. The headphones looked and felt worn. I could hear the hosts chatting in the hallway the whole session, doors closing etc.
The breath work was OK. but again, the headphones were worn and leaked outside noise.
The bathrooms, the dyson hair-dryers have buttons missing and when we enquired about it the host said you just have to use your nails to get the "on" button to turn on.
In the bathhouse, there are waterfall showers on either side of the ice baths but the switch to turn on the water is really hard to find. We only realised they existed because we looked up at the metal ceiling and could see shower heads.
Overall the EQ Signature Experience is unfortunately giving style over substance and definitely...
Read more4.5 stars! A very unique experience in Melbourne and well suited to those interested in the science and practical effects of self care Experience only lessened in 2 instances - a very loud man talking throughout my time in the bath house section, just a check in from the staff to keep everyone speaking at respectful volumes could have gone a long way - and the 10 min advertisement the session began with, I have already engaged with your advertising and flipped through the commercial “magazine” in the lounge area - no need to hammer it home with 10 more minutes of lock in to an ad - having content that puts you more in the right brain space for the session would have been better… instead I’m worrying why the session feels the need to over-justify itself before it has even began The light and sound dome was really unique and my guide gave a great tip to concentrate on the colours and sounds if my mind wandered I did the rhythm breathwork track and it was really unique to the breathwork sessions I have done before - I also loved the lounges in a 45 degree angle Some things that could use touch up just the cleanliness in the change rooms, I think if everyone went shoes off from the start into a slipper this would bring detritus levels down 100% and has worked for centuries in Japan, more seating in the change rooms is needed as well and I think having small or sheets of paper as single use for sitting in the sauna could help with hygiene issues

Read moreNice & relaxing atmosphere, I did the signature 3 hour journey. Unfortunately, I did not find it as profoundly awakening as others. The space is beautiful but I would probs skip the breath work and light room next time and go straight to the bathhouse. Small facility but nice layout, I’ve done many bath houses before my feedback would be that the steam room aromatherapies were beautiful but as you literally sit in other peoples sweat it feels a little gross so a tap in that room where you could splash your seating spot with water would be better, I loved the cold bucket that splashes over your head in the room next to this, the cold plunges were also fantastic but in the sauna small towels would be nice to sit on, once again you’re sitting where other people just sweated so it just feels a little argh. The hot pool was really nice, loved the jets and that there is a window to look out. Shared bathroom is also clean and you get a locker, only touch that would be nice is some hair detangling spray for us girls but that’s not a big deal. I guess I’m just comparing to other places I’ve been and hope this can more so be so constructive feedback. All staff were lovely. Hangout space lovely and relaxing. Easy to find parking as well. I rely on honest feedback when booking in things so this is why I’ve taken the time to write this. Still worth the visit to experience and see if...
