I find it difficult to believe the 5-star reviews?? This evening we booked (and arrived) for dinner with another couple at 7.30pm. There was only one table of four patrons in the entire main dining room, and one other table of patrons in the adjoining room. The dining room tables were 95% vacant. We waited for ages until we "had to" ask for menus. We were given one food menu for the four of us, so we "had to" ask for more menus. Then when the "additional" menus arrived, one menu had NO content (only the menu cover). After we ordered, we waited for ages for our meals. The patrons at the only other occupied table also became upset because their meals had not arrived yet either (they had arrived before we did). While we were waiting for our meals, we couldn't believe our eyes when a lady from the hotel started to clean spots off the dining room wall. We became so annoyed that it took longer than one hour for the meals to finally arrive. The staff seemed to be totally occupied taking drinks to the table in the room adjacent to the dining room and appeared to totally ignore us. They seemed to be oblivious to us dining room patrons and chatted disturbingly boisterously to each other as they "rushed" the beverages loudly past our table to the room adjacent to ours. We were terribly disappointed at the staff's transparent lack of consideration for our "dining experience". When our meals "finally" arrived, they were reasonable, so to be fair...I shall award the hotel one additional star. Boisterous (rough) staff, totally unacceptably slow service (the dining room was almost empty). Overall experience was very disappointing. We shall...
Read moreIf it was possible, I would give this place a zero. We tried to have dinner here tonight and Dawn, the head waitress in the dining room made it impossible. We arrived early for the jazz show with our 2 children. We checked the website before leaving home and saw that it was "supposedly" family friendly. When we arrived, we tried to take a seat in the courtyard, but were told by Dawn that it was booked out. We ended up sitting inside, but after an hour still had not received our meals. When our friends arrived, Dawn told us that we should have booked a table and she was clearly upset.
With this, I offered to pay for all of the drinks we had consumed and vacate the table. (which I did). I was then told that there was no problem. I took my seat again and waited another 30 minutes before asking Dawn when we might expect our children's meals (we have a 2 and a 5 year old)
90 minutes after ordering we are told by Dawn that she has cancelled our meals.
She clearly should not be in a service industry, she is bitter and twisted and we will not be returning to the Emerald.
It is a shame as the venue seemed nice and my Father and Step Mother were there on the same night and had a good time and enjoyed their meals.
I guess if you have have kids or are a young family, avoid this place...

Don't you think they would serve 4 over 20 Asked for manager. Manager couldn't believe we hadn't received meal and then she noticed waitress had apparently put Garlic bread down as entree. Chef should have picked up on that Manager said ill take something off the bill and I suggested free coffees to which she agreed
I was only one who had coffee however, they did bring us 2 deserts to share When we got home found we were charged $30. Yes $30 for Garlic bread and also charged for free coffee ☕️ I run a business network and we dine out 3 times a week so I know my stuff Plus I am a secret shopper and part of my business is assessing : Staff, venue, food and service This place takes the cake.
