Feel grateful everyday to call Albert Park home! Absolutely love this place! So beautiful and peaceful, the gorgeous swans make me smile every time, there are hundreds of them around the grass and water and they are gorgeous. There are also water fountains around to fill up water bottles. Toilets are spread out, but they are also there. If you're lucky you might come through some sports event during the walk around, and even some hot dogs during some sort of sports fund raising. Then of course, there is the uber exciting Grand Prix! Went for the first time last year, and loved every moment of it! So much fan, super happy vibes, pretty crowded but is the happiest crowd. The happy vibes are all around the neighborhoods. It adds up to the excitement to watch them building all stands etc during the months approaching the grand prix. Kudos to all the people working building all of it to make the...

I've walked regularly for a very long while but it took me years to get around to Albert Park Lake. I suppose I worried that parking would be a challenge. I needn't have worried about that. If you drive around on Lakeside Drive, there is plenty of paid parking. On weekends it's a cheap, flat rate. Easy peasy. The walk is just under 5km, paths are in good condition, it's level (I'd say accessible) and is a beautiful walk. Why did I wait so long? There are toilets at a couple of points, playgrounds here and there (though they're nothing special), picnic areas and regular benches if you fancy a sit. You can fish (it gets stocked) or canoe/row/kayak. So glad I finally got around to it!
