We drove for nearly an hour to get to this place to only be treated like a burden! As we entered there was a group of people sitting on the two combined tables and there was left over food etc looked like they just finished celebrating a birthday. Then on the left there was an empty small table without any chairs. The rest of the tables were occupied except the last table on the right side, the two long tables were also combined to accomodate them. However only one person from that group was sitting on that big table. As I approached to the counter I asked for a table for 7 people the lady refused to me and said there’s one hour wait. I said well it’s 8’0 clock right now and you close at 9 don’t you. So does that mean that we don’t get to eat here tonite? She didn’t say anything and then I mentioned her about the big table at the entrance and mentioned her that they look like they have finished and they were just hanging around not considering other people are waiting to be seated especially myself being visibly pregnant. Anyways she said they haven’t eaten yet there food hasn’t been served I said are you serious I can see the empty serving platters leftover food and empty drink cans which is quite evident that they have finished eating. She said oh yeah they’re having desserts then I said and you just told me we can’t have a table for another hour! She said yeah it will take them an hour to finish the dessert. So overall she was not at all interested in having any more people dining in the restaurant. The food was cold the only thing that was hot was the potato wedges and wings.
If we would’ve received a better customer service then the cold food wouldn’t have matter much. However the lack of customer service really made us feel like why we even made so much effort to come here. We were really excited to come and try the food. We have never ever seen this kind of customer service anywhere in Australia! People make effort to make sure every customer walking in the door gets served. There was...

Our meal began with the Celtic Burger - a veggie delight that challenged all my preconceptions about meatless burgers. Packed with flavour and satisfyingly hearty, it was a hit from the first bite.
The Curly Fries and Potato Gems were next up - crispy, delicious, and seasoned just right. They were the perfect partners to our burgers. The Lemon and Herb Twist Wrap added a fresh, tangy twist to our meal, balancing out the heavier dishes wonderfully.
As for the Kentucky Special and Portuguese Flame Burger - these two were taste explosions! The Flame Burger, with its smoky undertones, was particularly memorable. And let's not forget the Cheesy Bowl - a dream come true for any cheese lover. It's the kind of dish you can't stop digging into!
There was just one hiccup during our visit - we first dropped by on Sunday and the place was so packed, they ran out of food by 7:30 pm! We were a bit disappointed but it speaks volumes about how popular this spot is. We wised up, booked a table, and came back on Monday to an unforgettable meal.
So, a piece of friendly advice - make sure to book ahead, especially if you're planning a weekend visit. With its tantalising menu and fantastic service, Burger Basement is a must-visit for all foodies in Pascoe Vale. Trust me, your taste buds...

I shared the Lambo Burger with my partner and this was yummy as. The lamb patty was juicy, and oozing bold meaty flavours. The grilled onion added a touch of caramelised sweetness, which balance out the slight kick from the sriracha, and the mellow tzatziki sauce brought out the beautiful flavours of the lamb patty.
The lemon and herb chicken wrap that my partner stole a bite from was reported to be full of fresh and light flavours. A healthy alternative when you're not after burgers, but still want to eat at a burger joint.
Tim.E enjoyed his Kentucky Special burger, and we all shared some chicken nuggets, peri peri cheese waffle fries and onion rings. The chicken nuggets were a crowd favourite, bringing back a wave of nostalgia eating nuggets as a kid. The waffle fries were smothered in gooey peri peri cheese, hence less crunchy than if ordered plain, but it was undeniably moreish.
Casual and friendly vibes all around, and we had a...
