This One Star Coz They do Support #Palastine.... n Its Poster in Front...

Halal Bros Promotion made them popular I guess... Other than... Its ""DISASTROUS"

No management... No cleanliness... No Staff Manners....

I asked for Dine in... They Serve me take away... 😂

I regret to provide a one-star rating due to my concerns regarding certain aspects of this establishment. However, it is crucial to note that my critique is centered on my experience rather than any external factors.

The overall quality of my visit was unsatisfactory, with several notable issues. First and foremost, there seemed to be a lack of effective management, leading to a general sense of disorder and inefficiency. Cleanliness standards were not adequately maintained, which was disappointing.

In addition, I observed a lack of professionalism in the conduct of the staff. Their manners and service were subpar, which impacted the overall experience negatively.

One specific issue that I encountered was what appeared to be a preference for serving known customers first, which could be seen as unfair to other patrons.

It was evident that this establishment primarily caters to a younger crowd, and it seems to attract a demographic engaged in less savory activities.

My experience during this visit was marred by a significant wait time, approximately 40 minutes. Even after expressing my frustration, my order was inexplicably kept waiting in line, while subsequent customers received prompt service.

Moreover, a mix-up in the type of service requested occurred. I had requested dine-in service but received take-away instead, which was a further inconvenience.

I understand that experiences can vary, and this review is a reflection of my personal encounter. I hope that these concerns can serve as constructive feedback for the improvement of this establishment's services and...

A visit to The Acai Company in Lygon left me extremely disappointed, despite the seemingly positive reviews they have (?!) and the high expectations I also had due to that.

1 - the price at The Acai Company is notably higher compared to other self-serving acai places in Melbourne ($4.50 per 100g). What is shocking is that the texture of the acai itself was not up to par. It tasted overly icy, lacking the true acai flavor that one would expect. It's possible that the machine used to prepare it was frosting it too much, resulting in a quite unpleasant consistency, especially for that price

2 - what's even more disappointing is the limited selection of toppings available. It's easily the place with the fewest options I've ever encountered in Melbourne.

3 - also the lack of variety in fresh fruit toppings is actually quite shocking too. The only option provided they had were strawberries, which were not even fresh (I could see that there are some comments about this in other reviews, so I am definitely not the only one). This is quite disappointing for a supposed 'acai bowl specialist company'.

4 - for me, even worse is the lack of allergen information provided. This is a serious concern for those with dietary restrictions/preferences. And to make matters worse, the person working there was passive-aggressive and seemed indifferent to our questions about allergens, making us feel quite uneasy and unwelcome as they had no idea what had dairy or was vegan.

The combination of limited topping options, poor acai quality, lack of allergen information, and unprofessional service that does not inspire confidence at all, makes it difficult for me to recommend this establishment to others and I don't want to spend my money there again.

Update after Owners response: Firstly as someone who has purchased from your business and is dissatisfied with that service I am well within my rights to give a 1 Star review. Let's make sure that's clear.

Secondly there is no misinformation. I provided the wrong word by saying icecream. That was a mistake and I should have said Frozen yoghurt, however that doesn't take away from the fact that I did not enjoy it.

Third, from my visit I only seen 2 tables that fit 4 people each. I wouldn't call that outdoor seating and sufficient to fit such a busy store, however understandable if that's all you have available.

I want to be very clear that my intention is not to ruin your business by providing a 1 Star review, however you must understand that, that is my right and it was also my experience at your store. Something you can't claim as false to discredit my review.

Thank you.

Original Review below: Barf. Service was terrible It took 40 minutes for 2 ice creams (Edit: Frozen yoghurt). Flavour was terrible and the price was disgustingly high. Unfortunately 2 small tables to...

Insanely busy (for good reason), the açai is well made, fruit is super fresh and toppings are generous. However, the waiting time is definitely challenging, 30 minutes for 2 bowls? I think this is due to the recognition through TikTok and the general appeal from the area, the store itself is a small booth and lines do tend to get crowded. If you’re into being a part of the crowd, definitely recommend. However If you prefer to skip lines and waiting time, there’s a lot of places close by which are equal in quality without the crazy hype. I will say, the waiting time is due to staff avoiding a rushed and unsatisfactory experience, they take the time to ensure the quality is up to their standard and it’s respectable despite the pressure of business :) However, the biggest discrepancy is the sizing of take away/ dine in. They are the same price yet vary gravely in size. I understand this is due to the portability of the containers, I recommend investing in bigger bowls and using them interchangeably between dine in and take away.
