Love this place, I’m going to start off with a description of the environment because I have autism and it’s so hard to find dining venues that accomodate sensory processing disorders.
It’s probably the most accessible, sensory-friendly cafe I’ve ever visited. It’s filled with natural light rather than bright lighting, and the artificial lighting is provided with small and unobtrusive downlights. Sheer curtains let in light while also dimming it to a low and pleasant level. It’s very spacious and doesn’t feel crowded or cluttered. The easy-listening music is kept to a comfortable background volume — you can easily converse with others without raising your voice at all — and the acoustics are great. Half the area is carpeted, and the partitions and soft furnishings absorb a lot of sound too, greatly reducing echoes and general noise. Walkways are wide — you won’t have to make contact with furniture or people while you’re walking. Bathrooms are available on site but they do have hand-dryers with no paper towel option, so if you’re sensitive to loud noises you’ll just have to shake your hands dry.
The service is great — staff are always friendly, efficient, and helpful, and food is delivered quickly. Prices are very reasonable; the food is good quality and well-portioned. Family-friendly with kids’ menu options and a small range of pastries in the display case for picky eaters or those with small appetites. Extensive drinks menu (I think the drinks menu is bigger than the food menu) with everything from cold-pressed juices to iced coffee shakes to matcha strawberry lattes, so it’s definitely a perfect pick for long and...
Read moreI often visit Cafe Sapore and i just really love it. It’s one of the best cafes around Caulfield, in my view.
Their French toast is something special. It’s got this great crispy outside and a soft middle. It’s sweet and super tasty. Definitely something to try when you’re there. The other thing I should mention about the french toast is, that I never tried french toast with the mixture of chocolate syrup and maple syrup for some reason it’s freaking delicious 🤤.
The hot chocolate is nice too. It’s not super rich or creamy, but it’s still really good, especially on a cold day.
And the mocha? It’s just right. It mixes coffee and chocolate in a way that’s not too overpowering. It’s perfect for anyone who enjoys both. (I usually get the mocha with 1 sugar)
The cafe itself is a nice, cozy place. It’s great for sitting back and taking a break from everything and they have separate place to sit for realm residents as well, which is a great idea by the owners.
If you’re in Caulfield and looking for a good cafe, Cafe Sapore is worth a visit. Their French toast, hot chocolate, and mocha are top-notch for me and I hope, it’s good for anyone who wants to visit...
Read moreOn 23 April we had brunch in the new Caulfield Village and we got:
☕️ Iced Coffee & Blended Iced Coffee Both were nice, especially with undercover roaster blend! If you were to choose one, I’d suggest the Iced Coffee as it’s creamier.
🍔 Wagyu Burger This tastes like a homemade burger in a good way! The flavors we want from a classic burger were present, the patty was juicy for sure, and the chips were thicc but need more seasoning.
🍝 Seafood Linguine This was delicious with similar homemade taste to it! Simple but flavorful & enjoyable. They were generous with the seafood and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Imo just need a touch of spice and it’ll be perfect 👌🏻 (to be fair I love spicy food haha)
Overall, we had a great time here! The place was easily spotted from the train station with plenty of seatings indoor/outdoor. Great ambience with modern touches, the service was quick & friendly. The meals were tasty and reminisced of a great homecooked food. The people living in the apartment above is quite lucky to have this cafe 🥰‼️
PS: They can take care of your dietary restrictions (VG, GF, etc) and they also do dinner service Friday...
