Just another Greek style tavern trying very hard to recreate the amazing tavern experience one can only get when in Greece. Upon arrival we were advised that we could only have the banquet (I've spent many years in Greece and never once did I visit a tavern that had a banquet let alone an obligatory one). Members of our party attempted to order a 200ml bottle of ouzo (something every single taverna in Greece offers) only to be told this wasn't an option. Nor was ordering a full sized bottle of ouzo. They could however offer individual glasses of ouzo. When the ouzo arrived, each glass was already filled with ice. When tasting the ouzo it was clear that it was watered down. The waiter was approached and we were fed some rubbish story about how they usually pour the ouzo and then add the ice but on this occasion they added the ouzo over the ice. The reason they don't serve bottles of ouzo is because they want to charge premium prices for watered down liquor. I'll never return to this so called Greek tavern nor will I recommend it. Save your money folks and then buy an air fare to Greece to experience authentic Greek hospitality because you won't...
Read moreAmazing food and service. Cannot fault any of the courses: from the bread and dips, fish, lamb, chicken, saganaki, calamari, fried zucchini(?), desserts, coffee... it was all excellent. I’ve been here twice and both times were just as good, and the owner/head waiter (Achilles) and his staff are super friendly and accommodating – our bookings were for very large groups and one of them was at extremely short notice. We were very well looked after. My mum is a pescatarian and they made sure she was well looked after too. My husband’s family is Greek and they said it was some of the best Greek food they have had in a while!! Price wise, it’s very fair for the quality of food...
Read moreI love Greek food, have had alot of Greek food, but this was cooked with no love, just boring food, no flavour. Had Saganki, not sure what cheese they used, tasted strange not sure if it was the coating on the cheese (maybe flour) but it may have taken away from the cheese, flat thin fried, more coating than cheese. Grilled octopus gave my jaw a work out...chewy, dry, best part was the olive oil and lettuce sitting under it. Lamb skewer with roast potato/ veg, lamb boring no flavour, potato and veg were ok...nothing delicious or scrumptious about this place, did not have the dining experience I was looking for. Service was good. Will not...
