June 2023
Had dinner here again. The food was average. Certainly changed since Covit.
Unfortunately, the bill was incorrect twice, and we almost paid $200 plus extra. The first time, we queried the bill. And then again, we had to question the bill.
Everything was fixed without fuss but not good enough.
The waiter said that the bill didn't seem right, but he didn't review it!! What the?
Unlikely to go back for dinner.

June 2020 I’ve wanted to come here for dinner for some time and I am so glad that I did. My partner and I had the best Scandinavian food here.
The service was excellent throughout the night. We initial started w a Akvavit Board which was a flight of mini smorrebrod, and matching akvavit. OMGosh this was spectacular. The drinks were delicious and the matching food, amazing!!
For mains we had a beef cheek, which just melted in my mouth. Just perfect.
The pork was delicious and the skin was crispy. Yummo! The heirloom carrots were still crunchy and really tasty.
The aranchini balls were yummy, and the meatballs were delicious and they came with a nice slice of picked cucumber.
My boilermaker came with a beer, a akvavit and a mini smorrebrod. Once again this was soo good, and the whole night was just fantastic.
If you haven’t been here this place is an absolute must visit, although they only do dinner Wednesday to First nights.
I am definitely going back. This place was one of my...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Denmark House for a Tuesday lunch. I had high expectations for this restaurant, and was not disappointed. It is a tad on the expensive side, but the food was superb, and the staff super-friendly and attentive, even after the restaurant got busy. They took the time to explain some of the dishes and drinks to us when we asked. The decor is simple but comfortable and spacious, as one would expect for a Scandinavian establishment.
We opted for the 'Feed Me Danish' menu item, a set of four pre-selected smørrebrød flavours, and also the 'Matched Akvavits', although for the future I think we'd skip the latter and try some other drinks. We shared these between the two of us, then ordered two more individual smørrebrød versions from the menu, the Laksesalat and the Blåskimmelost. All were absolutely delicious, but I particularly loved the last one.
For desserts we ordered the Kransekage (because I love marzipan and also developed a weakness for Traestamme while in Denmark), while my other half ordered the Citronmarengstærte. I am not normally a fan of meringues, but this one was again absolutely delicious.
We finished off the meal with some French plunger coffee.
I was looking forward to the dining experience at lunch time, and would definitely go back again. We both agreed that we would also like to try their evening menu at a...
