Dumplings Plus — Restaurant in Melbourne

For many years I would go here to get my hokkien noodles. I'm vegetarian, so I would always order them with the option in the system that says veggies and tofu only. With surcharge, it always ended up being 15.02 when I had gotten it. 14.80 before the surcharge. Never a problem there. That's fine. I went this past Saturday evening, ordered the same meal I always do, this time... there was a lady that had no earthly clue what to press in the system. So she got the manager in charge that evening to come over and find it for her in the system, she found a different option, vege and tofu, and that made the total 17.80, and I was like what the. I realized she had pressed the option for an extra dish with the vege and tofu, not just the option for the meal to have just veggies and tofu in it. I tried for around 10 minutes to explain it to both of them, I was told that this is the price and they can't change the price and to stop holding up the line and if I don't want it then I should leave. I was utterly shocked. I've gone there over a hundred times to eat over the years. It was one of my favorite places to go, and their hokkien noodles were so great, and the portion was insane. They gave you plenty. Now... I don't know what to do. Their staff needs VERY serious training. VERY SERIOUS!!!!!! Because the way they handled such a simple and easy thing was atrocious. I don't think I'm going back. Not unless they see this here and address it. It was just SUCH a horrible experience. Also, may I strongly suggest that you add a vegetarian option in the menu, so that way even for the inexperienced behind the counter don't have an issue at all, doesn't get any more straight forward than pressing the vegetarian option on the screen. Extremely disappointed with my experience this past Saturday. You lot better take notice of...

Unfortunate experience here with one of the service staff. I came today at 12.35pm and saw one young lady with glasses and grey mask absolutely with the worst service ever. She took my order on the first attempt, and got the order wrong in the system, so I clarified with her. She gave me a “ok, so what do you want” attitude, and I said I wanted two different styles of dumplings. She then went to cancel one of my correct orders and said ok dumplings…. I told her I wanted two items of different favour, and this was when things took a turn for the worst

She started harassing me and told me(even high key frustrated) “what do you want” “I’ll change the system, just tell me”…. I was absolutely horrified with the service. I pointed at the items carefully to avoid further escalation and did not say a word more.

Before the hang me the order, she called me a “stupid idiot” and slammed the dumplings on the table.

This was on the dim sum side — management team, please check the TVs to identify this exact lady and speak to her about basic customer service and update me, if not this 1 star will stay...

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! Don’t ever go here unless you want disgusting moldy food. I came here to get honey chicken however when I got it the lady who served me shoved my chicken down to the bottom of the container to the point that every peice of chicken was connected. Then on top of that she told me it was $13 however when I went to pay, it was $17!!!!! Then when I tried to eat it I realised it was just crystallised mushy bread with a gram of chicken inside and the chicken was PINK on the inside. Next I went back and asked for a refund or to exchange itand I was met with just rudeness and unprofessionalism. The lady then rudely said absolutely not. It is not what she said but how she said it that just made me furious. Please never go here if you value good food and kind hospitality...
