Elfresco Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

What horrible service and quality of food for fairly high prices. I ordered a watermelon juice that was dark brown in colour not only that had a flavour of ginger, carrot and celery. I return the juice and the staff waived me off with their hands I was shocked. They argued that it is straight watermelon. They offered to remake it and made me the exact same thing. it was identical. I had two sips and took it back asking my money back. The guy with the black hair started yelling at me saying I don't get my money back nor do I get a juice. WHAT!? have you never seen watermelon juice before?The owner starting telling that watermelon is not in season.. it's the start of January it's actually peak season for it. They returned my money $8!! And said that I am wrong and that it is unfair to their business.. how about making me my straight watermelon juice? I own a cafe in the city and know all about customer service and...

Staff charged wrong person for coffees who was sitting at our table, and I wasn’t told the transaction didn’t go through on my account. I explained to manager as it was staff error to rectify and do refund for them and then do a new transaction on my account but I was told it was too hard and to do a bank transaction. Not the response I expected in customer service. He was rude , condescending and starting yelling. Very rude .

If my card declined the staff should have informed me and not assumed another was going to pay!!!

Easy problem for the MANAGER to resolve … not become aggressive and condescending …. But COMMON SENSE is not a strong point in your cafe … maybe train your staff properly and take some customer service lessons … fyi I have read previous reviews of the rudeness of the manager here …...

Nowhere else was open so we reluctantly tried this place. Avocado smash was very ordinary. Way too much balsamic glaze. My friend's bruschetta was missing the avocado and they wouldn't redo it, just brought her a bowl of avocado. I ordered chai and said I wanted the Prana chai not the powder. The girl serving acknowledged this but then made a mistake so I was given the powder. I went back and politely said I'd ordered the other chai. The woman making drinks was incredibly rude about it. The cashier later acknowledged she'd made a mistake and the barista came over to show me the receipt that had powder on it and when I said she'd been incredibly rude she said she was just very busy. That's no excuse. I would never go back nor will my friend and I would never recommend this...
