If that whats passing off as flake, I’d be looking for a new supplier.

this hunky dory has gone downhill, first couple of times was great.

Flake was over cooked, batter seeped through was under cooked. Batter was uneven and over cooked in sections Which made it very difficult to eat, almost inedible. Flake tasted old or poor quality, I’m questioning if it was flake. My wife had a grilled flake. She dry reached on the first mouthful. Chips were good though.

Called the shop to give them feedback, Manager simply said no other customers had complained. And told me to try a different fish. Also said that they would let the kitchen know. I said I’d likely not be back, the manager Replied with a ok. I eat flake at least once a week. Both Bought from fish and chip shops or prepared myself.

They Didn’t offer a replacement, or to fix the issue in anyway. In fact I threw the food in the bin. And re ordered from highett hunky dory . I’ll stick to fish tank Brighton or highett hunky dory,

Second time in a fortnight I’ve had poor quality product from hunky dory bentleigh.

Nice people and staff, just Poor service coupled with poor quality product, Overall really disappointed in Bentleigh hunky dory.

I think their name was Natalie Sarah Kontrobarsky. i was walking outside hunky dory when an out of control swervjng car came barrelling towards me. but in the nick of time, like edward cullen, Natalie Sarah Kontrobarsky was there in a flash, and she stopped the car with their bare hands, but unlike edward cullen, she was firm but gentle, and left no dent in the car. I said. "wow!! u are such a hunky hunk! your hunkiness has left me so thirsty! is there anywhere nearby where I may acquire a drink to relieve my thirst ?". Then i noticed her shirt, which read "Hunky Love", and then I noticed behind her, a fish and chips establishment named Hunky Dory. Natalie Sarah Kontrobarsky took me by the hand and led me to the establishment. There I ordered The Bay with a Corona. I was midway through my meal when I began to choke on the potato cake (my fault, not Hunky Dory's) and Natalie Sarah Kontrobarsky came to my rescue, performing the heimlich maneuver on me and saving my life for the second time that day. Really good go-to for great tasty fresh fish and freshest salads. Make sure to check out the specials on top of the standard menu such as the rockling and flathead tails. The grilled fish and salad are really generous as well as being really tasty with choices of brown rice or chips …and, we recommend the brown rice, so nutty and a great healthy alternative.. Nat is always so really friendly and always provides great service and will help you explore the various options. We eat here probably once a week, because the food is always fresh, consistently good at a very reasonable price - great value for money - you won’t leave hungry! All staff are friendly, love that it offers so many healthy options as well as your favourites like fried fish and chips - great crunchy.
