I’m so extremely sad to see what Finders Keepers has become since Sean and Kirsten sold their gorgeous business to a “silent” owner. The horrible white board sign with specials, the tacky cushions the awful laminated menu as well the awful plastic cups for water just makes the place feel so sad. And then there’s the food. Twice in the last two months I’ve eaten there. Both times it was the burger. First experience it was dry and thin and verging on tasteless and even the waiter said it didn’t look good. A week ago we went there again. The chips had so much chicken salt on them they were inedible. I told the waitress and she said she’d tell the kitchen. When we paid, said the same thing to the guy taking the $, his comment was “oh yeah so sorry we’ll fix it for next time”, no offer of a few dollars off or a coffee. They seemed really indifferent, and I absolutely know Sean would not have stood for that coming out of the kitchen. There won’t be a next time because I won’t be going back again sadly. I’m seriously sad because it was fantastic but now it’s horrible. Ruined. It’s lost the atmosphere, the food is poor and I’ll just hold the memories and try one of the better other cafes...
Read moreMy son has just moved in to the the area so we were keen to find him a new local! Love the food and coffee at this place but the service was slow and clumsy. We had to ask for water 3 times before we helped ourselves to a serving station, asked twice to place our order after sitting for nearly 25 minutes, asked twice whether an item was gluten free or not as we had a coeliac with us but the worst part was we all got our meals together with the exception of one. We waited 5-10 minutes before asking after it as we were a table of 6 and recognised it was busy. When we did ask about the last meal we were told it wasn't ordered even though she was the first person at the table to make her choice.. We waited almost another 25 minutes for her meal to come by which time we needed to leave so she had to take it to go... a simple gesture such as her coffee on the house or even if they waved the weekend surcharge would have gone a long way to making us feel like they were apologetic for the wait and errors.... but we didn't get that. It's a pity because everything was really good with the exception of one waitress that didn't quite get it...

What we had:
Chicken and waffle, what a classic dish, with maple syrup that southern fried chicken tastes so good and tender with the Belgian waffles. Definitely a great flavour combination of sweet and savoury ingredients. Must try.
Vietnamese grilled chicken salad, was super refreshing and wholesome to eat this, also it’s a very healthy dish. Loved it really.
Tuna melt sanga was my favourite here, so decadent and tasty, must try this winter.
Banana peanut butter smoothie, Blueberry banana smoothie, both are very filling and fresh to drink
I highly recommend the chai latte it’s really satisfying and good to drink this.
We also tried the pain au chocolat, cinnamon scrolls, raspberry and hazelnut cake. All were so delicious and goes well with their high quality coffee.
The service is prompt and attentive and the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Standard prices and good quality brekkie and lunch...
