If I could give this joint a zero I would because of their shockingly poor customer service..
I booked with First Table to go there for my birthday about 1 week well in advance. I was really excited to go. When my family and I arrived at our booking time of 8pm, we were sent to our table. No menus were provided. Then I went downstairs to get a menu and my wife and I were then told by a bar girl that we couldn't stay because of their bar licence and the fact our kids were under 18 and it was after 8pm.
THE STAFF WERE WELL AWARE THAT THERE HAD BEEN SIMILAR ISSUES WITH PREVIOUS FIRST TABLE CUSTOMERS ATTENDING.. AND YET THEY DIDN'T SORT THE ISSUE OUT WITH FIRST TABLE DESPITE KNOWING THIS HAD BEEN A PROBLEM..... WITH ME, THEY DIDNT BOTHER TO RING IN ADVANCE TO ASK IF WE HAD ANY UNDER AGE KIDS ATTENDING, OR TO EVEN USE THEIR INITIATIVE AND SUGGEST TO MAYBE BRING OUR BOOKING FORWARD TO AROUND 5-6PM TO COME IN EARLIER TO AVOID THIS POTENTIAL LIQUOR LICENCING ISSUE .. ONCE AGAIN NO REGARD FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THE FACT THAT IT WOULD BE PUTTING THEM OUT..
They instead just let us all drive in, wasting 45mns of our time to rock up there , only to get told to leave.. ( Once again they showed no problem solving skills, and instead provided us with crappy customer service!! ) To not even think about sorting this issue out in advance to save a customer from being put out just shows how unprofessional they are...
They really couldn't care less about the fact that we drove in from 45mns away. I spoke to the Manager on the phone and he still didn't really get the fact that we drove in and it ruined our night... He didn't even offer us a credit towards a meal or a drink next time we came in for the total inconvenience it caused. Once again the manager just had no feeling for the moment or any empathy for his customer.. Instead, he offered me a half hearted apology which did nothing. ..
The younger generation of today really don't have any concept of sorting out issues to make customers happy. They have no problem solving skills. It's such a shame as they are like robots.. Probably so regimented and anal thinking there's only one way to skin a cat when the issue could have easily been sorted out with a happy customer and no sour taste in their mouth ..
It's a shame because I'll be making sure I tell my family and friends about the poor experience and I'll never walk in the joint ever again. The best form of advertising is word of mouth (...
Read moreWent last Friday night. Went up to the bar and explained to the female bartender that we were still waiting on two pizzas almost 15 minutes after three plated meals ordered in the same transaction arrived. After gathering our table and order time information, she asks me if I wanted her to check with the kitchen. Like, nah m8, I was hoping we could both stand here awkwardly and extend this uncomfortable exchange for as long as possible. I go back to my table, old mate at the bar leans back and has a conversation with her colleague for a few minutes, perhaps to get verification as to whether she's actually supposed to check with the kitchen. She finally gets back there to check, and heads straight back to the bar afterwards. I go up several minutes later to see if I can ask her for an update because I'd kind of like to know when my mate can stop pity offering me chips off his plate, but she's got other plans and scurries away every time I get near. Like seriously, just tell me 'they forgot', 'they lost the docket', 'there was a printing error', 'we keep throwing the dough too high and it's getting caught on the ceiling', literally anything would be better than the silent treatment. Finally, 55 minutes after we've ordered, 30 minutes after the plated meals have arrived, and having avoided all communication, she drops off the pizzas - no apology for the delay, no explanation.
Pizzas are really, really good though, highly recommend all the food and drinks. 10/10 kitchen team, unless this was their fault, in which case, 9/10. Will come back again, just will avoid the gatekeeper of pizza...
Read moreDisappointing to rate 1 star, because the bar staff were very vibey, the cocktails were nice (and cheap!), and the venue was awesome. But the bouncer made the bar 1/5 by himself. came to pool area, told us it was closing at 2am and stood within 1 metre of my partner for the whole game, until we left. Made my partner uncomfortable to the point of her not wanting to finish the game. headed to bar area, ordered two drinks at 2:30's last drinks. At 2:35, bouncer gave a 5 minute warning on close, which I asked about as we were told 3am when we ordered drinks. He then stood again within a metre of us while we were having our drinks, and at 2:40, told us we needed to skull our drinks as they're closed. Pretty sure this would be against their RSA, and then he put his hand on my partner to push, repeatedly told us we need to leave now as they're closing, pressuring and pressuring. My partner started having a panic attack while the bouncer again touched both of us, pushing us along. We were out the door at 2:45 even though we were told 3am (and google says 3am). It was disappointing that with such friendly bar staff, great atmosphere and drinks, the bar was ruined so strongly by one over aggressive bouncer. Also feels very strange we were told several times by the bouncer to finish our (mostly full) cocktails we had only just been given, and telling us to skull. Seemed he was desperate to get out early, and we would not have bought these if we realised we'd be pressured out...
