I remember when this place was a run down milkbar back in the 1994. I got taken there by a friend and was looking forward to the newly revamped version. Gosh I was disappointed. The food is so-so, the service is awful and the atmosphere . . . if I could have a minus five I would attribute that to them. Admittedly we sat inside. The noise level bouncing off all the vogue hard services made it impossible to hear my companion. The menu was confusing and overpriced. The service was rude. The food was awful, especially if like me you happen to be celiac and opt for gluten free bread. I could not believe the cardboard they served as gluten free bread at a hefty extra cost. Seriously? With so many amazing options around you served up cardboard? People must have money burning a hole in their pockets to fork out $$$ for tiny portions of bad food at inflated prices. The service came with barely disguised condescension - what? you want "hot" water? . . . With so many wonderful options, this place would be on the bottom of my list and I will...

This time last week I was sitting outside on a glorious Melbourne summer morning with some of my favorite people in the world unaware that I was about to consume a delicious brekkie from one of the newest kids on the Albert Park block (now I am on the other side of the world wearing a million layers, but I digress). As if the decor wasn't enough of a drawcard (if I wasn't in Australia I could easily have been in Southern California), the staff are attentive but not overbearing, and the food/brekkie beverage situation is definitely sorted. My zucchini fritters plated on a vibrant bed of greens amid dollops of beetroot tzatziki was seriously delicious (the poached egg is a good add too). My best friend's craving for a breakfast of all the basics (tomato, avocado, eggs, toast) was satisfied by their a la carte offerings and coffee, tea, and a babycino were all declared beyond satisfactory. People of Albert Park - I implore you! Find some space in your mornings to visit Halcyon Days. You're lucky to have something like it in the...

So awesome to have a new coffee spot with great food offerings in the Albert Park area. The crew are so friendly and the food menu offers such a nice variety of "standard favourites" and thoughtful interesting dishes.

Coffee is great and the fitout and decor they've created just allows for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere on even the busiest of days. Take note people of Albert Park, Middle Park and surrounds. There's a new kid on the block, and they're worth a visit!

And in my opinion they're COMFORTABLY better than any of the other offerings available in the...

This is our local cafĂ©, and we frequently visit for birthdays and family outings. The staff have consistently provided great service and accommodated our needs. As a vegetarian, I’ve often ordered a cheese and tomato toastie instead of the ham and cheese, and they've catered to this request multiple times. However, on our recent visit, the gentleman with glasses at the front desk informed me that they don’t allow any changes and refused to accommodate my order. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. Goodbye, Halcyon Days—Deli Boy, here we come. Very disappointed.

I took my family here when they were visting from Melbourne, and when your 17 year old brother goes "good pick" you know its. a winner. Has become my new go-to - im based in St Kilda but make my way over because this place regularly now if im heading out for brunch. My reasons: 1. has great large outdoor tables, options for umbrellas too 2. great menu with variety of different options not just your basic egg and bacon 3. Staff are great 4. THE INTERIORS!

Great little spot on a quiet corner in Albert Park. The service was outstanding and the food was well done with lots of flavour. I had the flatbread with chilli egg and halloumi which overall was enjoyable, however I didn’t really understand the flatbread as it was more of a wrap. Probably a bit light on the serving size but maybe we went in with larger than normal appetites.
