One of my favourite fast food joints in Melbourne. I go here regularly. The chasiu ramen is my go-to “i feel sad and need to just do something that brings me joy” food. The staff aren't chatty but they remember you and are incredibly friendly in a no nonsense way (I can't stand small talk). They often ask me "no chasiu today?" if I don't get it, they remember my order. It's truly a cosy neighbourhood vibe if you live or work in the CBD to have a place like this go pop into.
My only little gripe now is that all food is served in takeaway containers. They uses to serve dine-in meals in proper bowls and plates, but since COVID have made the permanent change. I understand this, but it does reduce the service and the ambience a little. You have to put your own rubbish in the bin and it doesn't have the same ambience it used to, when I would sit watching people out the window. Nevertheless, I still go very often because the food is delicious, good quality, fast, and the people are absolutely lovely. It's an underrated place and I...

Plenty of food to choose from. I always go here for lunch/dinner when I was working in the city, now that I don't, I really miss it that I end up going to the city once in a while just to eat there.
I've tried most of what they have there and especially love:
Katsu Bento ♡♡ Crispy Salmon Don Teriyako Salmon Don Curry Beef/Katsu/Tofu Don Salmon Nigiri/Sashimi Teriyaki Salmon Roll Potato Cake Okonomiyaki (tho they made their own variety of this dish its yum and very filling) Chasiu & Beef Ramen
Tho some of the food aren't as "japanese" as it should be (like Chiken/Pork Katsu Don other ramen) most of the other sauces and dishes tastes close to japanese style.
Also happy to say that the rolls/nigiris/sashimis I've tried here didn't upset my stomach and they don't taste old/stale, not fishy/gross. Seems fresh.
They are consistent to what they serve and I always get what I expected to have.
Hope...
Read moreFood: Got the chicken Udon soup and 2 rolls, teriyaki salmon and salmon and avo. I came to this place because I knew it use to be cheap and good value, however now the hot meals have increased to price to around $16. The Udon soup was different in soup and not soy soup, and whilst tasty, the noodles were too soft and overall it wasn't that good of value since it's increased price. The sushi rolls, whilst decent price, were also lackluster as the rice was soft and mushy, and overall didn't taste fresh
Service: It was self seating, and the food came quickly.
Atmosphere: Nice decor and...
