Run by the Victorian Climbing Club, the grass roots Burnley Bouldering Walls is a perfect place to learn and practice bouldering with some pretty cool dudes. Being directly under CityLink / Monash or South Eastern Freeway, it's a great example of integration into and utilisation of public space.

   Read moreIf you are on a budget and looking for place to boulder, I'd highly recommend this place. Venue is free of charge, and the routes are being reset every 6 months or so. Some of the routes are quite challenging starting from flat, 30, and 45 degrees wall. Maintenance is quite decent as well. Facility includes padded floor, with a communal matt and table to be shared, and lights are available during the evening as well. The only drawback is being outdoor and open, it can get quite chilly...
