If youâre a big fan of poor customer service then this is right the spot for you to visit. The guy behind the counter who seemed to be the manager/supervisor was just so obsessed with earning his dollars only and tried so hard to ignore and refuse your request of having a small taste before you buy. (Whoever loves gelatos, Iâm sure youâre familiar with this common practice for the shops to provide tasting prior you buy). And the excuse was theyâre busy?? Do you mean all other gelato shops are lack of customers and super free?
Thank you for proving such a misleading response.
One, I didnât request nor get a taster at all for myself.
Two, if your shop doesnât offer any taster, or has limitation for providing taster, the rule itself is unfriendly but we still respect. However, you should make the rule clear and visible enough, or your staff should have informed my friend about it at the very beginning. The staff who attended my friend earlier provided tasters without any hesitation or explanation at all.
You were showing the attitude, yelling at us and trying to make us embarrassed. I would strongly recommend you applying for a job at âKarenâs Dinerâ.
By looking at all other popular gelato places in Melbourne, you would never experience such customer services by refusing you or limiting you from getting a right flavor of...
Read moreAfter a long day exploring the Docklands, Gelateria on the Docks was a lifesaver! I was hot, sweaty, and craving something sweet. This place did not disappoint.
Walking in, I was immediately hit with the most amazing aroma of fresh gelato. They had flavors I wouldn't even dream of - blood orange and ricotta, anyone? I ended up going a little more classic with a scoop of pistachio and a scoop of their dark chocolate. Let me tell you, those were some of the creamiest, richest gelatos I've ever had. The pistachio was bursting with flavor, and the dark chocolate was like a grown-up version of my favorite childhood treat.
They also had a whole section of dairy-free gelato, which is awesome for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions. My friend grabbed a scoop of the dark chocolate and said it was amazing, even compared to the "real" stuff.
The staff was super friendly and helpful, letting me try a couple of flavors before I made my decision. Plus, the location is perfect - you can grab your gelato and then wander down by the docks for some beautiful sunset views.
Overall, Gelateria on the Docks is a must-visit for anyone in the Docklands with a sweet tooth. It's the perfect way to cool down and treat yourself after a day...

Walked into the store when it was quite. My friend any I had one flavor picked in mind, and we wanted to try some samples to decide a second flavor to order.
One of the staff provided me two tasters that I asked for, and I was not told there is such a rule as âno tasterâ or âlimit 2 tasters per personâ. My friend did not ask for any and did not get any taster. (Your reply is misleading!)
The two samples were both tasted pretty artificial and I was trying to get one final sample. The boss started to shout at me and refused to get any more sample. The boss used the excuse by saying they are getting busy and each person can only get maximum two samples.
There were five or six staff, but only three groups of customers. At least two staffs were hiding behind and having nothing to do. When I asked for sample, the first staff passed to us with no hesitation and I was never told or reminded that there is a limitation for each person to try.
I was shocked, offended and intimidated by the attitude shown by the boss in the store, and also disappointed about quality of their gelato at...
