Surely today MUST have been an off day... Or I will never believe reviews or TikTok videos...

Possibly the worst Turkish Breakfast I've had. For $70 for two people, there are SO MANY other options in Melbourne. There is no need to visit here unless you are dying for a Gözleme and you're literally outside the place.

Where do I start? A Turkish Tea in a water glass (two different sizes mind you). Turkish food needs to also be an experience as well as taste. Where's the Turkish teapot with the small tea glasses, where you burn your fingers but love the sensation?

Unfortunately they also got the taste part wrong. There is no way that the Gözleme in the tower, was fresh. 100% reheated either on a flat grill or commercial toaster.

And how can you serve Lebanese Bread in a Turkish Breakfast? Not only is that wrong, the bread was also stale... How can you get bread wrong in a breakfast dish?

You really can't mess up Sucuk and Eggs (two ingredients required), so that was OK. The pides again are not fresh and just so hot from the reheating.

And for some advice, don't leave trolleys with paint cans, a leaf blower and old equipment in your dining area. Not a great look for first time diners.

I think I just need to accept that Turkish in the city will never compete with the suburbs. Try Semosh or Deja Wu for MUCH better alternatives. Same price, but definitely not the same food and atmosphere.

Like I said, hopefully it's a one off and others have a much...

Worst customer service. Approached the counter to order & the lady with all the piercings (no name tag) was lifeless standing there, just looking at us, didn’t say hello, didn’t give us a menu to order from, just looked at us. When we asked her for a menu she just started at us & didn’t respond. On the bench there is 1 menu that says lunch stand & is a stand with meats, so seems like that is the only thing you can order. Asked her what sauces do you have she just shrugged her shoulders. We finally just ordered that as there are no options, she then proceeds to put a payment into the Eftpos machine that is not of the amount we ordered & when it declines she walks away?? Food was NOT worth the money or hype. Came out in 3 minutes so nothing was fresh. $80 for shredded chicken & lamb, stale chips & 1 gozlem. Rip off. The flavours were not good. It was not fresh. The spicy lamb gozlem tastes like Keema (a Pakistani dish). You get better & fresher gozlem at Dandy markets.

Don’t forget, the TikTokers that come here & review food, let the restaurant know who they are & what they are doing. So because of this, they get exemplary service & the freshest food. This is not the service or food that ordinary paying customers...

I recently had the opportunity to try Kebab & Gozleme Cafe and overall, I had a positive experience. The atmosphere of the cafe was cozy and inviting, and the staff were very friendly and attentive I ordered the traditional chicken kebab, which was delicious. The meat was well-cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the accompanying vegetables and sauces complemented it well. The portion size was generous and left me feeling satisfied I also tried the spinach and feta gozleme, which was a standout dish for me. The pastry was crispy on the outside and filled with a flavorful mixture of spinach and cheese. It was a great option for a lighter meal or as a side dish Overall, I would highly recommend Kebab & Gozleme Cafe to anyone looking for tasty Mediterranean cuisine in a relaxed setting. The prices were reasonable, the service was excellent, and the food was top-notch. I will definitely be returning...

Must try KEBAB TOWER & Dubai Chocolate __ The best of Docklands has to be Kebab & Gozleme Cafe @kebabandgozlemecafe_. Whether you’re looking for an authentic Turkish feed, or a pre/post concert feed at Marvel Stadium… You have to check this place out! Lunch Tower (Available from 12pm) includes Gözleme 4 Dips (Mint yogurt, Hummus, Garlic, Chilli) Hot chips Lamb döner Chicken döner Salad Bread Two drinks Tea pot Baklava x2 Chicken HSP Lamb Kebab House Made Dubai Chocolate ✨Recommend to get their Lunch Tower for the ultimate Turkish experience. Can’t decide between Lamb or Chicken Doner? Don’t worry there’s both! The Gozlemes are made fresh daily, nice crunch outside, fluffy inside. Their HSP was CRISPY, SAUCY, PACKED with FLAVOUR. Be sure to get their crunchy Dubai chocolate and baklava for a sweet finish!
