Overall bad customer experience;
Bogan service. The guy who served me does not know how to greet customers. He just looks up, stares at you and doesn't say anything. After a few seconds of awkward silence while still looking at you he will blurt out "Have you ordered?" You're of course thinking no I haven't ordered, I'm waiting for you to take my order. How about you get some basic people skills and next time ask something like "can I help you?"
The hot & spicy chicken wasn't ready, I had to wait 15 minutes. This is frustrating because this is meant to be 'fast food'. I don't consider 15 minutes fast. My main question is.. WHY isn't it ready? How is it possible that a place that specialises in chicken, doesn't have chicken ready to serve. I know that these places only employ dum dums for minimum wage but even so how hard can it be for a worker to realise 'hang on.. the tray is getting empty, maybe I should start cooking up another batch before the tray empties completely so that we don't have customers waiting around awkwardly for 15 minutes' Obviously the people working here are so dumb that their pea sized brains are simply not big enough to think like this.
I got the chicken but certain parts of the chicken were red near the bone. I think they rushed it out of the frier a couple of minutes early because red = raw. It wasn't just blood, the overall consistency of the chicken was 'soggy'. I don't know how they accomplished this feat because I've dined in a lot of KFCs before but I have never had soggy chicken like this. This was horrible. The hot n spicy seasoning wasn't hot or spicy like it should have been. Whoever did the preparation didn't put enough of the mix on the chicken. Overall bad consistency.
I went upstairs to have my 'meal' and being a monday night I was the only person there. There is a TV upstairs playing random stuff from FOXTEL. The channel was set to "MAX" which is a music video channel. Being a commercial TV station, the music videos were interrupted by commercials. One of the commercials that came on was for McDonalds. It was a very strange experience to be sitting inside a KFC and to be watching a McDonalds ad. This is an example of bad management - allowing a competitor's commercials to be beamed into your store. I bet that the manager / owner doesn't even pick up on things like this. If they miss things like this that are VISIBLE by the public, it makes you wonder what they miss in the kitchen in terms of hygiene and things like that.
Overall, KFC is not a gourmet establishment, I realise that. The problem here is that you lower your standards to go here, and even those low standards are not being met. So lets sum up:
Service = Bad (No people skills and bogan) Food = Bad (Blood visible near the chicken bone) Atmosphere = Bad (Empty dining room and watching a McDonalds...
Read moreWent into this store tonight to get some food. I ordered a chicken mega box, partner ordered the zinger burger box.
The mega box was great, chips were good, chicken was fully cooked through. - no issues.
My partner’s meal however was different, as she got into the burger, she found that the chicken was super tough and the texture and taste were unpleasant to eat. - described as a raw and spongy taste - certainly not like a chicken should be.
I have had issues with this KFC before with food poisoning and hair being found in our food (to name a few) and my partner is super sensitive if she eats something bad- so she called and enquired about what to do, if we can get a replacement and to get them know what’s happened.
I get that it’s a rush- but come on! The TL/manager was not empathetic nor apologetic regarding the situation at all, simply stated that we need to bring it in or else we wouldn’t get a refund - no apology at all, no show of goodwill nor expression of any such doubt that it could have been incorrect.
As someone who has worked in hospo for around 10 years - I know the game and get that mistakes can happen when doing anything - but guys, regardless of the complaint’s nature - it’s phone call 1-0-1, you apologise for the mistake and enquire as to what happened. - you don’t just say “it’s never happened, cant do anything about it”

Read moreStopped in here to take advantage of the free two hour parking, I parked me all original mint condition EB S falcon here then walked up to Ferrari and Lamborghini in a knock off Dolce & Gabbana Leopard-Printed Tailored Suit, so I could pretend to be interested in buying a supercar. Noticed on the sign it was for customer parking only, is I got a 2 buck slider (it was amazing) first bite Zinnger sauce all down the front of me. Cleaned it up with a couple KFC wipes. Decided I was ready to walk down and start new car journey. 10min, later I was on the way back to get my tuff EB from KFC, noticed I still had and hour and thirty five minutes left of parking. Needless to say I was sucked in by KFC's advertising and I was like "bucket, shut up amd take my money" ordered the family feat for one and I was on my way he to corio.
It was a good day out, I had a good feed and got within 5m of a real life Lamborghini.
