KFC Flemington — Restaurant in Melbourne

I think I’ve visited this store for the final time tonight. For the third time in a row, a minor (same) thing in my order was stuffed up. That is, extra salt on the chips. It might seem minor, but what is the point of having the option in the app if staff are just going to ignore it anyway? It wasn’t busy when I collected either so they can’t blame being under pressure. The staff must be either low IQ or incompetent (or both). Over the years I’ve had plenty of other mistakes with my orders, but it’s never been enough to make a complaint or post a review. My chips tonight were wilted (old oil?), bland, saltless and lukewarm; in fact all of the food in my order was lukewarm at best. I’m over KFC; there are plenty more/better options available locally especially the new El Jannah which has very fresh food, good customer service and cracking garlic sauce and gravy. See ya KFC, your app is now uninstalled and blocked in my phone’s and home router’s DNS. And PS: I don’t want an apology or a free food voucher - I just want(ed) the god damn orders done correctly each and every time (or at least the majority of the time). I mean is that too much to ask? In the world of fried chicken, KFC is mid. We all know it, no point arguing over it, it’s fast food. It’s mid in comparison to a place that actually cares.

But in comparison to all other KFC restaurants, this one is actually pretty decent. Maybe I’ve been lucky, but I haven’t received something from this location that I’d consider completely inedible or so badly prepared that it was unpleasant, which as far as KFCs go is actually above average. Often it’s actually pretty good, they actually salt the chips extra if you ask, they actually cook stuff properly and they actually give reasonable portions of things they can control.

Occasionally they’ll run out of sides like mashed potato and gravy, which at that point why bother staying open IMO, but if that’s the worst thing that has happened, it’s still above average. Only real negative is that sometimes they will just straight up refuse to make something for an order if they don’t have it, or wait until it’s low until they do, but that’s more of a personal issue than a problem with the operation.

Don’t let me down dirty bird, I ain’t travelling to the next nearest location to get my fill, so this is your only chance to...

Yet again KFC Let themselves down with consistency of quality , have had amazing chicken from here but also soooo many wrong order's and bad bad chicken , choose your shift manager well or experience the murder of a great brand.... Be warned check order and quality.. Such a shame .. 👎👎👎.

Update November 2023 It's no surprise that the last two lines of my last post have come back to haunt me.. Photo attached shows two wing or actually quail pieces of chicken, approximately 5cm long , I really question the staff and managers and suppliers to KFC Flemmington Victoria. How small can they go on the size of chicken pieces, embro bits coming soon to KFC ... Jokes aside how pathetic can they go with their corporate greed ..
